Hello and welcome.

OP posts:

Oh Dunoon, that is sad. Was he your only brother? Sorry, you don't have to talk about him if you don't want to.

I have a migraine brewing, think it is a tension one, oh the fun

DH is trying to hang a door, the air is blue.

sal1309 · 22/07/2010 20:48

5in fingers crossed for you. hope ur migraine clears.

nicola hope your appointment comes through soon.

dunoon big hugs, thats really sad

well dh arrived home drunk after a beer call lol.

both dd's been a mare today so off to bed shortly

FlyMeToDunoon · 22/07/2010 20:49

Oh lord the end of term is very trying for all concerned eh.
DD1 is doing her leavers show tonight watched by grandma and DP. I saw it yesterday afternoon.
Seems to be the season for migraines.
I don't mind talking about my brother. I have another one, and a half sister. Well three half sisters but two were brought up by their father and his next wife so I don't now them at all really. Families! My brother who died was 5 years younger than me.
It's just those moments when you can relate to your own mum and what she went through with a deeper insight. Like when you give birth and think wow my mum did that. Or every time you are up in the night cleaning up sick and know your mum must have done the same for you a million times. I can't imagine having to say goodbye to my child though.

Sad
5inthebed · 22/07/2010 21:28

Yes Dunoon, end of term sucks! DS2 is buzzing because it is toy day tomorrow and he can't decide what to take in. Just glad there will be no school runs for 6 weeks.

FlyMeToDunoon · 22/07/2010 21:34

OMG I have just been reading a learning to drive thread [thinking of doing it!] and it is terrifying. Half wish I hadn't found it but have posted on it now.
It seems to take years.

OP posts:
5inthebed · 22/07/2010 21:36

I took me 4 years to finally pass my test on and off Dunoon, depends on how much you want it. It is hard to do if you are nervous.

FlyMeToDunoon · 22/07/2010 21:40

I was gaily thinking I could learn before school starts again Hahahahahahahahahahahah

OP posts:
5inthebed · 22/07/2010 21:43

hahahahahahahaha

Sorry, must compose myself . You probably could if you had 3+ lessons a week, and it would depend on how fast you learn.

Are there any driving schools that would do a free first lesson so you can gage how much you ike it?

FlyMeToDunoon · 22/07/2010 21:48

I can try.
Off now. Night.

OP posts:
5inthebed · 22/07/2010 21:53

Nighty night

basl · 22/07/2010 22:26

Well i am trying flyme and nobody more nervous than me stealing another crown from someone. .
I reckon the three a week is the way to go so you don't get too worked up in between however i feel physically sick before i step in the car but hey never ever thought i would do it. I remember 5in the thread where you passed your test and i was so [green] and really wanted it to be me.

Daniels 2nd Birthday Tomorrow so here's hoping he likes his little scuttlebug and Toy Story scooter which blows bubbles [£18.00] and a little pull along bag for sleep overs like his sisters but more of a boy one he really likes Olivia's stuff. He had her shocking pink crash helmet on the other day with her purple bling hannah Montanna cardi and her pink bag and jumped on her pink moped I don't mind one little bit but he does get the funniest of looks. He even walks about in her clip clop high heels.
Acht well aslong as he is happy eh.

nicolamumof3 · 22/07/2010 22:26

tom came home from disco all emotional, dh is such a grump gone to bed to watch lost. Im thinking hold on an effing minute. Im the one who's got everyone ready for everything this week, done the cards, presents, stressed to the max, leavers services, disco's, garden parties..and had my insides prodded around for the second time with no gain...

phew thats it all off my chest now!!

basl · 22/07/2010 22:32

Whats up with Dh then? Did he not think Tom should have gone?
Is Tom feeling better now Nicola? Wee shame it must be a lot to take in. My nephew goes to high school after summer too and it is such a huge step.
Mmmmm that is an awful lot to do in a week nicola you must be Knacked.

nicolamumof3 · 22/07/2010 22:36

i am, when is someone going to say..'how are you'...goodness knows eh? Sorry just feeling sorry for myself.

basl · 22/07/2010 22:44

Is he not being very sensitive to what you been threw today then? No bloody wonder nicola you have had a rough week by the sounds of it. All catching up i think.
This has been a particularly tough week for everyone reading back on everything posted. It is nice to know we have each other eh!!! Nice to feel sorry for ourselves in good company's what i think anyway.

nicolamumof3 · 22/07/2010 22:50

basl · 22/07/2010 22:54

maxybrown · 23/07/2010 08:46

MORNING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thank you Basl, very kind words.

Well what a lot going on here!

Hope everyone feeling ok today?

Well........the genius at the hospital has announced that James has severe language delay and it is something very specific. No sh** Sherlock! Thank goodness for proffesionals she was "nice" BUT, it took us almost an hour to walk to the hospital at high speed - if me and my Mum have not lost at least 20 stone then I will be most disappointed. So by the time I got there I was dripping sweat, and sure I must have looked a big red fat sweating beetroot then I forgot (gah!) to ask who I spoke to on the phone to complain about the lazy statement, so annoyed! We were with her a hour and I'm not really sure what she did nothing that hasn't been done before. Sorry I sound like a right moaner. But she gave him a book to look at (he will have known what everything is but can't say it) and he pointed to various things and kept pointing to himself as he was telling her that he liked whatever it was he was pointing at - but she seemed oblivious to this and so he wouldn't carry on til she ackowledged him then he pointed at a caterpillar and started flapping his arms - telling her they turn into a butterfly, but she just looked at him vacantly it was quite obvious really, and I know he's my son, but Diva has met him and I'm sure she'll tell you that he doesn't come across as totally stupid!! So, productive all round, sure you'll agree

She didn't give me eye contact once, and kept saying erm erm erm erm....an hour we were with her! My Mum said she wanted to wind her up (as in to speed her up). I have to say, the main SALT woman we see near us is a million times better.

Sorry for going on, but you should all know me by now

oh anyway HAPPY BIRTHDAY LITTLE MAN DANIEL

lillypie · 23/07/2010 09:15

Morning all just popping on very quickly to wish you all a happy day and of course a

FlyMeToDunoon · 23/07/2010 12:16

Happy birthday to Daniel

OP posts:
5inthebed · 23/07/2010 12:50

Happy birthday Daniel.

I've finally got my keys !!!! Been to look around this morning. House is huge, mingingly tastefully decorated and lovely garden. We've got to go back later to sign for it as the lady didn't think we would want to move in so quickly so didn't have it ready. We should get about £200 towards decorating it as well. So I shall be busy busy busy over th next week. If I'm not here, send a new pram to keep me company

How are you feeling today Nicola? I think we've all been feeling a bit sorry for ourselves lately.

Maxy, I find some professionals a nightmare to deal with, others are lovely. Dan's EP is a lovely woman, she has done so much for him over the past two years. Did thy say what, if anything, they are going to do?

nicolamumof3 · 23/07/2010 18:13

evening all ladies, will be uploading some pics later of my little man he had his leavers service at church thats nursery for him all over and off to school come 13th Sept!

Tom had last day at primary today. Now onto summer hols, i've got a packed schedule thank goodness.

Yaaaay 5in so glad you got keys and can get going. When dod you have to move out of flat?

5inthebed · 23/07/2010 20:08

Tenancy of the flat is up 2 August, same time as the house tenancy starts. We're moving next Thursday so we'll have a few days grace between to get the flat cleaned up and competely empty.

Did anyone watch Emmerdale earlier? I was in tears at the end of it
