Is it mad to say I wouldn’t want to live there? No where nearby to get a pint of milk, no neighbours. Drowning in chintz. Ham is a bit of an unreal place too -not much social mix that I can see. I know it’s objectively wonderful but it made my heart sink a bit.

Someone who can afford such a place will no doubt decorate it as they wish. They will also have staff who will buy the milk.
I would happily live in it !

the most impoverished underprivileged areas are as real as the wealthiest privileged ones. Unless the whole world is an illusion, Singapore is as real as Bradford.

Ham as an area is ok. But Naice Ham to the west is better.
