Should we add a little bit of extra warm colour to a white and green themed bathroom? Vote on pics!

We have already started work on our bathroom - tiling will start in less than a week!
We've mocked up our original plan using Chat GPT, see the first image - it's basically a green and white theme, with a green tiled feature wall next to the bath.

We thought it might be a nice idea to only half tile the left side where the mirror and radiator are, and paint it a nice colour. We looked up the complementary colour to the green, and it was a peachy pinky colour.... But we need the tiles to at least go as high as behind the sink, and because the mirror and the cabinet go down lower and will cross onto the tiles and therefore have a gap behind on the plaster wall bit, it just felt a bit of a compromise, hence deciding to fully tile the wall.

Then we thought that perhaps we could tile the top half of the wall in the colour we were going to paint it! So we found some tiles and mocked that up in Chat GPT. Then we thought maybe that looks a bit odd - should we tile the whole wall in this peach colour, so we mocked that up too.

But now we've ended up with two feature walls! I love the warmth that the peach color brings, but is it just too much?

Which of the three pictures do you prefer?

I've surprised myself by liking the whole wall in the peach colour - it's the picture I find most attractive looking. What would it look like if you had three walls that colour, with the one feature wall in green?

Twoshoesnewshoes · Yesterday 22:24

I like the first picture best

Ikeatears · Yesterday 22:25

I agree. Middle picture brings more warmth

Pacificsunshine · Yesterday 22:32

I like the peachy wall.

DustyBins · Yesterday 22:36

I like 2. But I think paint all walls in the peach.

HouseMartinsHome · Yesterday 22:40

I prefer the first one. I think adding 9n the peach is too much.

But I am really unadventurous and boring and lack style. So maybe ignore me!

DeadBug · Yesterday 23:07

I really like the peach wall. The bathroom will look lovely.

Make sure you can access the plumbing if you're having a boxed in toilet, though.

TallagallaPenguin · Yesterday 23:08

I don’t like the peach - it looks like it clashes with the rest of the room. For some reason it looks like the end wall with the window is painted a sort of pale pink - I quite like that, could you go with a pale pink alongside the green and white, instead of the peach?

MeetMeOnTheCorner · Yesterday 23:18

No to peach - although I love F&B setting plaster. I think a light pink is nicer but I don’t like boxed in loos. Greatly prefer proper wall hung ones and the vanity is too wide and overbearing in dark green. I’d have it all in white and paint the walls pink or a misty green. Then have accents in deep pink or dark green. The current look isn’t coordinated and definitely ditch the green vanity. It’s all a bit pick and mix with no coherent theme.

I don't like the peach.

DisplayPurposesOnly · Yesterday 23:23

Really dislike the peach.

Pink would be better.

PickAChew · Yesterday 23:28

The peach makes the room look unbalanced, used like that. It would be better scattered around the room.

Tigerbalmshark · Yesterday 23:30

Hate the peach. But I agree pure white is really too clinical-looking and can end up looking a bit harsh and cheap (your fittings clearly aren’t cheap).

How about mizzle, or a kind of pale mushroom colour like skimming stone? (Just using F&B as shorthand because their names are so distinctive).

Hellohelga · Yesterday 23:31

No to the peach. Can you fit a plant on a shelf?

DramaAlpaca · Yesterday 23:33

Usually I strongly dislike peach anything, but I'm surprised to find I like that one wall in peach. It warms the bathroom up beautifully.

MeetMeOnTheCorner · Yesterday 23:39

Mizzle is a good compromise. It’s a misty pale sea fret colour. I don’t think the vanity works. In a small bathroom a wall hung vanity (floating) makes it feel spacious. Ditto the loo. If white is too sharp, have the vanity in a pale wood maybe? The attached are more cohesive schemes without a big blob of green vanity. The loo and sink should appear linked, not separate. The sink doesn’t have to be huge and squashing up against the loo.

None of them to be honest. I would start again. Maybe a monochrome look?

Tortoisel · Yesterday 23:41

I love peach but I will warn it’s incredibly difficult to get the right paint tone/ colour.

Brenzaida · Yesterday 23:49

You need some warmth. I’d go pinker, though. I have a green bathroom with sort mink (brownish pink?) walls above green tiles to dado level. It works well.

RockinCara · Yesterday 23:51

I’m not a fan of the peach. It reminds me of unpainted plaster. But it doesn’t matter what I think - if you like it, have it.

CoffeeAndCats3 · Yesterday 23:54

I'd go with pic 1, but add plants. Hang a few from the ceiling, as it is very tight.

andnowwhatdowedo · Yesterday 23:59

I like the first one best. More bothered that the loo and basin look cramped.

ScrambledTofuNeedsKalaNamak · Today 00:44

I'm also surprised that I like the look of the full wall in peach. I think that is the best out of the 3 photos. Did ChatGPT put your shower curtain in the centre of the bath? I hope so, because that wouldn't work for me 🤣.

DiscoBeat · Today 01:03

🍑

bizzey · Today 01:06

I am also confused about your shower curtain !

So much so ...that I didn't even notice that the walls were different colors !😂
