Should we add a little bit of extra warm colour to a white and green themed bathroom? Vote on pics!

We have already started work on our bathroom - tiling will start in less than a week!
We've mocked up our original plan using Chat GPT, see the first image - it's basically a green and white theme, with a green tiled feature wall next to the bath.

We thought it might be a nice idea to only half tile the left side where the mirror and radiator are, and paint it a nice colour. We looked up the complementary colour to the green, and it was a peachy pinky colour.... But we need the tiles to at least go as high as behind the sink, and because the mirror and the cabinet go down lower and will cross onto the tiles and therefore have a gap behind on the plaster wall bit, it just felt a bit of a compromise, hence deciding to fully tile the wall.

Then we thought that perhaps we could tile the top half of the wall in the colour we were going to paint it! So we found some tiles and mocked that up in Chat GPT. Then we thought maybe that looks a bit odd - should we tile the whole wall in this peach colour, so we mocked that up too.

But now we've ended up with two feature walls! I love the warmth that the peach color brings, but is it just too much?

Which of the three pictures do you prefer?

I think that in your second image the peach wall is balanced by the peach / beige / warm neutrals of the multiple toiletry bottles along the wall, and on the shelves at the back wall of the shower. Without those bottles I think the peach will look out of place. So assuming the bottles are part of the mock up rather than a permanent feature I’d say no to the peach.

DisplayPurposesOnly · 03/06/2026 08:11

Second look, still dislike the peach. Definitely prefer first picture (all white). Not keen on full length mirror.

Really dislike the peach.

Pink would be better.

I agree, you need a cool toned pink. I'd be inclined to have a pink blind rather than the wall.

AllJoyAndNoFun · 03/06/2026 08:27

I think that peach is too yellow toned- a pinker colour would work but agree that if you do it, do all the walls- don't have the green, plus a white wall plus a pinky wall. Alternatively could just add the pink tones with towels and the shower curtain. The other thing is that the sage/ plaster combo is very "done" right now, likely because it looks good but that might be why I'd not embed it too strongly so can change it later on.

The shower curtain gives me hope that I've got a few years before AI enslaves me. I had a similar experience where it kept putting the loo in the middle of the room and nothing I told it could help it correct it.

I like the first one best. More bothered that the loo and basin look cramped.

Yeah not everyone would ne able to sit symmetrically on the loo if AI has rendered the dimensions accurately. Which if course it may well not have.

Peach is a bit much.. It's quite 70s!

Turnitoffnonagain · 03/06/2026 08:33

I like the peach, but not as a wall colour. I would have a more neutral coloured feature wall. Maybe soft stone?
Not a fan of the green vanity. I would have that white or light wood coloured.
I very much like the colours but would use them for towels, mats and window dressings. Love the floor. Going to use that.

First picture best and then add colour (orange not peach) to cup holder, floor mat etc

Gazelda · 03/06/2026 08:36

Pic 1. But I’m biased as we’ve got dark green and white.

we’ve got wood effect porcelain floor times and wooden shelves which adds warmth. Plus lots of plants.

are you having a blind at the window? Maybe you could add a tiny bit of pattern there?

10DegreesNorth · 03/06/2026 08:44

I'd have all the walls in a pink/peach colour with the exception of the green tiled wall. Maybe a paler version than the example shown.
Paint the ceiling a lighter version of the wall colour.

GiantRoadPuzzle · 03/06/2026 11:54

We have Sulking Room Pink with that green and it looks great.

LibertyLily · 03/06/2026 14:38

I love colour and definitely wouldn't want to keep it white, but am not a fan of that peach @BathroomColour.

My preference would be a pale pink on all the non-tiled areas, not just a feature wall. We colour-drenched the large bathroom at our last house in F&B Setting Plaster which was actually a bit too pale for my taste. It might work well in your bathroom with the green vanity.

We're currently doing our cottage hallway in pink and green (with Little Greene Lamp Black floor), but our pink is yellow-based (Edward Bulmer Jonquil) and the green is more vibrant (F&B Yeabridge Green). I know it's been done to death, but pink/green is a fairly classic combo imo.

Stirabout · 03/06/2026 15:08

Im voting the first picture
but then I’m not keen on the green tiles near the bath
Reminds me of mould and a bit like a swimming pool where a colleague used green tiles.

What about limiting the green

Love the peach wall all white too clinical and the other one a bit wishy washy , the peach looks ace

MotherofPufflings · 03/06/2026 18:45

I wouldn't have a feature paint wall with a feature tiled wall as well. I would do a warm white or pale pink on the whole room, including the ceiling. And add some warm accessories in wood or raffia. And some plants, they make everything better

TheGoodOnesAreAllGone · 03/06/2026 18:50

The peach is awful, but I don't like that shade of green either! The greens in the pictures a PP added are much nicer

Soosi · 03/06/2026 18:52

Ditto Bizzy. Shower curtain wrong side !!

Comicalblackcat · 03/06/2026 18:56

Like you my bathroom is green and white I add colour with towels and plants and it’s so easy to change when you feel like something different, plus no work.

Corianda · 03/06/2026 18:58

I quite like the pale peach but that empty window sill is crying out for a large trailing plant and maybe a small one on ledge above bath then that would be enough

Kellph83 · 03/06/2026 19:02

I don’t like peach. I prefer the all white wall. If you’re going to do a colour more of a pink would look better imo. Love green and white together

EdithStourton · 03/06/2026 19:17

All I can think of are the number of elbows that are going to walloped one the corner of the basin unit as people sit down on the loo.

Oh, and whatever colour you use, painting the back of the shelved recess in it too would bring some balance to the overall look.

trendysetter · 03/06/2026 19:35

The first picture is best by a million miles IMO.

MouldyCandy · 03/06/2026 19:39

I would not install a feature wall of coloured tiles - stick to white with a trim if you want for a feature/contrast.

Paint is cheap and easy to change as interior design/your own preferences change - tiles are not.

Use a green shower curtain if you want colour in this side of the room and / or
paint your bath panel green.

I personally think the peach is nice on the whole wall. Half tiled walls are easier to clean if you have boys who can't pee straight.

MouldyCandy · 03/06/2026 19:49

You'll have to choose the shade of peach you want but here is your image with white tiles, a green bath panel and shower curtain and peach walls.

Peach (orange) and avocado green is a classic 1970s combo. Is that really the vibe you want? I would go for the boring first option.
