Dishwasher or tumble dryer?

I only have space for one. Have had neither previously. What would you choose? X

Dishwasher

Dishwasher. Every. Single. Time.

hmmm. I mean I use both daily. Not sure I could choose tbh.

Dishwasher - no question

Dishwasher. And washing machine/dryer if you can.

Dishwasher but I would also get a dehumidifier for wherever the clothes are dried.

Oh good call it's a pretty small house.

Interesting replies so far. It would be the tumble dryer for me. I could not be bothered with trying to dry all the laundry without one. Washing up only takes a couple of minutes if you do it straight away.

Dishwasher. I don’t trust tumble dryers.

... tumble dryer. Summer.... dishwasher. Both invaluable.

Same. I’ve got a tiny house, small dishwasher and use clothes horses and a dehumidifier for drying clothes. (even though the washing machine is a ‘washer dryer’ it’s not very good so I just use the ‘washing’ functions.)

Dryer. I can't stand the house being covered in drying laundry.

It's easy enough to wash up as you cook so you don't end up with a huge stack at the end.

Tumble dryer. The dishes can be washed by hand. Trying to find space for all the wet washing isn't possible.

I had a B&B which slept ten I didn't have a dishwasher for the first five years but the dryer was invaluable.

Dishwasher. Tumble dryers shrink clothes.

Also summer tumble dryer after the last two "summers" we've had!

I couldn’t live without my dryer in winter. We’re a large family and it would take up too much room and take forever to dry (yes even with a heated area). I love my dishwasher but if I had to choose, I’d have a dryer. Washer/dryer combos are rubbish by the way

I'd expect any place that served food to have a dishwasher to sterilise the pots and cutlery.

I'd get a tumble drier over a dishwasher. Although, I do love my dishwasher.

Dishwasher for me

We do have a tumble dryer in the garage but I only use it sparingly in the winter and never in the summer

I never use my tumble dryer as I've never managed to use it without shrinking the clothes.

Well Environmental Health didn't have a problem with it and still gave me a five rating 🙂
