found this property on the Rightmove Android app and wanted you to see it: www.rightmove.co.uk/properties/145090202 Oh my eyes

Another sneering’not to my taste so I’ll mock the homeowners who gave a clearly loved house’ thread.
plain nasty.

I think it's lovely, apart from the kitchen doors. I don't think they will have any trouble selling it.

This. Kitchen is the only bit that’s a bit different. I think you’re maybe a bit out of touch with what’s on trend atm.

It backfired! We love it!
Not everyone wants a grey box.

BreakfastAtMimis · 26/02/2024 19:55

I predict that will go to a quick closing date and sell for around £600k, tomato sauce kitchen and all!

Startingagainandagain · 26/02/2024 19:56

Because not everyone likes beige and grey and some people actually have a personality?

We all have different tastes anyway.

I much prefer seeing a real, lived-in home that someone really loved than a soulless show home.

Fedupwitheveryone · 26/02/2024 20:03

its so depressing to see what lovely homes you can buy outside London for so much less money. sigh

Reallybadidea · 26/02/2024 20:29

WetBandits · 26/02/2024 17:50

The bath is bonkers but the rest is perfectly fine.

I absolutely love the yellow zebra wallpaper, so much so that I’ve gone hunting for it as I want it for my downstairs toilet!

If you haven't already found it, I think this is it https://intudiy.co.uk/product/grandeco-life-animal-kingdom-ochre-wallpaper/ (I love it too!)

I strongly suspect the OP is either the seller or acting on their behalf, however much they protest. It is the only sane explanation for this thread.

CormorantStrikesBack · 26/02/2024 20:35

I’m about to put this fish wallpaper in my bathroom, love a bit of out there /different wallpaper.

TitsInAbsentia · 26/02/2024 20:36

I love it! Sadly not my price or my area 😎
I'd have gone for another shower instead of that bath tub, I'd probably do myself an injury getting in or out. I even like the kitchen cabinets 😬

ThisHonestQuail · 26/02/2024 20:36

Looks very standard for Edinburgh new town tbh!

Firstclassfart · 26/02/2024 20:37

I like it. The bath would drive me nuts. DH would pretend to be a vampire when getting out the bath. Totally imagining myself and my family living there. The kitchen and wallpaper are great.

whatausername · 26/02/2024 20:38

It's decor, not MRSA. I'm going to change most of any interior anyway.

PickAChew · 26/02/2024 20:40

So it's not Greggs grey throughout. I don't see the problem. The kitchen unit doors are a strong colour but look painted, anyhow. They can be painted again.

CormorantStrikesBack · 26/02/2024 20:40

I like the bath from an aesthetics pov, think it would be cosy when in. But impractical. Be a nightmare trying to bath young kids or a dog and now I’m older I’m not sure I’d get in or out.

NewName24 · 26/02/2024 21:54

Wow I though it was a creative way to drum up some interest in your flat, but it turns out you are just being nasty about someone else's home, and hoping people would join in. Very classy OP.

Quite.

Like almost everyone else on this thread, I think it is beautifully presented.
Like many, I probably wouldn't have chosen that kitchen, but it wouldn't be enough to put me off if I were looking for an apartment in Edinburgh.

Such an odd title and opening post. Confused

NoWordForFluffy · 26/02/2024 22:21

chipsandpeas · 26/02/2024 13:42

yup the bathtub is the only issue i have with the place

I would definitely do damage to myself getting in and out of that!

I like the flat though, other than the kitchen units which are a wee bit bright!

Seaside3 · 26/02/2024 22:42

Imagine having no taste, or manners.

If it's not for you, move on op. No need to try public shaming.

Janehasamane · 26/02/2024 22:46

Milkasheika · 26/02/2024 17:30

Nice bit of advertising, OP. YOUR flat is lush. Happy selling 🤫😉
Definitely not mine. For me it's sensory overload and way too much colour and pattern without cohension. My DH noted there's a wood burner which he could stuff with the chopped up kitchen cabinets and light.

Wow, you and your husband sound alike. Let’s have a look at your home then.

its clearly a gorgeous flat. Are you noth just sitting there bitterly being horrible about peoples homes? Is it envy?

randomusernam · 26/02/2024 22:48

I have far more of an issue with the en-suite I'd also want to loose a bedroom to make the kitchen/ dinner bigger.

Flowerfairie · 26/02/2024 22:51

Let me guess, you have a grey Hinch house? I think this is fine, nice even. Wouldn’t choose the kitchen colour but it’s hardly a dealbreaker….

Flowerfairie · 26/02/2024 22:52

Op imagine if this was your house, you’d loving decorated, being posted to laugh at. Shame on you. Mumsnet shouldn’t allow these posts

Milkasheika · 27/02/2024 04:02

Flowerfairie
How is asking a question - Do people not neutralise to sell ? And giving opinions ( my eyes) shameful ?
I don't read any malice in this .
It used to be all the TV experts advice to declutter and neutralise to sell.

You just sound really nasty and bitter.
