LOL at the bunk bed objections: a buyer would be at liberty to remove them. They aren’t counted as a bedroom. Ditto the urns and apparently inadequate gym equipment: they will probably take it with them!

Ginmonkeyagain · 23/02/2024 20:36

I don't think so - the bunk beds look built in.

FuzzyManul · 23/02/2024 20:37

The so-called 'cinema' is just a data projector on a shelf.

So could be ripped out. They are unlikely to be structural.

Ginmonkeyagain · 23/02/2024 20:47

Yeah. But obviously we are not actually thinking of buying the place. Just judging their choices.

Adhdsleeeep · 23/02/2024 20:49

Kensal Rise?! Jeez. It’s fine there, but nothing special. No way I’d put £5m into a Kensal Rise house. My hunch is it’s vastly overpriced.

If I'm paying 5 million im not buying a bloody do-er up to rip shit out.

The bath in bedroom, built in beds in halls, ridiculous open plannedness, those awful tiles and too much wood etc... no one is paying MILLIONS and then undoing all that.

NashvilleQueen · 24/02/2024 09:33

It's bloody gorgeous

paulMcCartney · 29/03/2024 10:41

Oh dear, reading that makes me like it much less!

Heather37231 · 29/03/2024 11:01

Ha ha ha “reclaimed Romanian barns!”. Somebody call Private Eye Pseuds’ Corner!

AsTheyPulledYouOutOfTheOxygenTent · 29/03/2024 14:01

I wonder whether Times House of the Week is decided by whether the editor's child goes to the same ballet class as the vendor's child or whether it's just a good old fashioned backhander from the estate agent.

Kta7 · 29/03/2024 14:07

I still maintain the en-suite needs a door, even if it does mean you can’t see the Perlino Rosa marble while your other half has a poo…

Sorry meant to add excerpt

Over £5 million for a terrace in London.
Starseeking · 29/03/2024 14:29

Looks like the most it should be priced is about £3.5m, at a push £4m. I can't see them securing anywhere near the asking price, in that area, in this economy.

LittleGreenDragons · 29/03/2024 15:19

I was expecting something lovely especially at that price but despite all that money thrown at it you still have the front door opening up into your living space
1/10

rainingsnoring · 29/03/2024 15:47

Clearly it isn't selling because it's probably 2 million over priced so they have pulled strings to get it advertised by The Times. I doubt that will work; most people aren't that stupid. They may think that their particular style is marvellous but many don't agree and could replicate it for much less than 2 million in any case.

SoniasBae · 29/03/2024 18:34

Sounds like the same type as these vendors. These Chevening people have peeved off most of their street and have barely lived in it. Flippers from way back

Octopussingthieves · 29/03/2024 20:05

Digimoor · 29/03/2024 13:17

It clearly didn't sell with the first agent so now it's on with dual agents - same price
At home with vintage furniture curator Siobahn Farley (domusnova.com)

Is Siobahn a name in its own right? My brain wants to correct it to Siobhan.

BG2015 · 29/03/2024 23:07

All that wood on the ceilings 🤔

ohthejoys21 · 30/03/2024 17:15

Prefer this one in same area..

ohthejoys21 · 30/03/2024 17:16

Well maybe not exactly same area but not far!

Neveralonewithaclone · 30/03/2024 18:13

Do people just decide that they're interior designers? They've ruined the house and the garden.
