Anyone else had viewings today?

I had 4 viewings today.

First time buyer, couple that have sold to a first time buyer, a first time buyer and a couple that aren't yet back on the market but they had sold and their sale had fallen through.

Anyone else had viewings today? How did they go?

It’s such a challenge and esp shows really they aren’t that enamoured of the house (but then the biggest issue is investors will never be the same as a family wanting the house).

I’ve done this quite a few times but still hate it- this will be the last time I do this (waiting to sell first and then will take my time to buy). It’s just a horrendous experience every time and think it will never be anything but, esp selling!

Hopefully there’s time for the house you like to work out - never know! 🤞🏼

Just coming back on to say that after a grand total of (I think) 22 viewings we finally sold yesterday! House has been on the market for about 7 weeks and we were seriously considering reducing the price. However a buyer turned up out of the blue on Saturday and apparently fell in love after spending only 20 mins in the house. She’s offered 5k under asking which we’re delighted with. I can’t quite believe it.

To all of you who are despairing you’ll ever sell, don’t give up. As everyone kept saying, it only takes one buyer! I’m just so relieved not to have to prepare for any more viewings.

We’ve also been on about that long and had no offers. Two viewings today have both said they want the house but don’t think they can stretch to asking. Let’s see if anyone makes an offer 🤞

We officially went on the market (i.e. live on Rightmove this week). Four viewings booked in this week and we had two last week. Already fed up of tidying and cleaning!

We've had good feedback so far just "not for them" so fingers crossed it won't take too long.

Thank you all so much! It really is a fantastic feeling as I'd been so down about it and neither I, nor the EA could understand why we hadn't sold. I just checked RM this morning and another (lovely) house not far from me which was taking ages to sell has also sold. Maybe Spring is finally in the air? It is the solstice today after all...

@hopingforthemillion two houses I’ve been watched for weeks as options for us went under offer this week so maybe there is hope for us all yet!

A family came back for a second viewing and we were so hopeful they'd offer but they decided it was too small :(. Back to the cleaning!

We had a well attended open house day & have had around three viewings since. Feedback seems to be generally positive though some people don’t like the layout. Two more viewings on Sat so fingers crossed. Like everyone else I hate the tidying!

12 viewings and one more for early Saturday - with two teenage boys that is the worst!

We've had a 2nd full price offer, but as with the first, not proceedable - they are only going on the market today! Oh well, only need one of them to sell and we haven't found anywhere yet anyway.. back to the cleaning with an 11 week old puppy and 20 year old cat 😂

I have a viewing tomorrow and another on Saturday. Apparently the people tomorrow are very keen. The PERFECT house has just come up so please keep everything crossed for me!

We've accepted an offer 🎉

They raised their offer to our minimum so we've accepted it as it means we can proceed with house we had offered on and done surveys on before our previous buyers pulled out. Our vendors waited for us which we really appreciated.

It's a slightly shorter chain this time but as 2 have previously collapsed I'm cautious but happy thing are moving again.

Yes same. Congrats @Kentlane. It feels a bit quiet here- two viewings on Saturday but nothing came out of the viewings on Monday. I think the more people that see it without an offer the more you lose hope! But as others have said it only takes that one person to like it so 🤞.

Congratulations @Kentlane and for people still waiting for offers … good luck and try not to get too demoralised, it is a process that can take a long time and be intrusive into your day to day life but hopefully you will get offers soon.
