What's wrong with my friends house?

This is a friend's property. She has dropped the price but still not getting any interest. She has tracked the interest in the property using the Rightmove tracker.

The most interest has been when it's been on a Facebook period property page.

She had 4 EAs value the property and took the lowest valuation.

Is the Estate Agent being crap or is there another reason?

Great update, looks like your friend just had to wait for the right buyer to come along.

It is a beautiful house, lovely decor, the only thing I wouldn't have liked was the internal doors, and no bathroom on the top floor.

As pp have said, people who are wanting a house like that might be put off by the other houses on the same street being less impressive. The house looks out of place on that street, I think, although I haven't looked at the street view, just the photo showing the next door houses.

Going for black window frames etc, was a massive mistake, imo. It's not in keeping with the heritage of the house, and makes it look much less appealing. Obviously the windows are a magnificent feature of that house, but the black frames take away from the windows, rather than showing them off in all their fiery

Also, as a pp has pointed out - you would expect a house like that to have gates, or an impressive front garden - it looks too modern and average for the age of the house, especially when you couple the age of the house with the price tag.

Inside though...wow!

Just read that she has a buyer. Fantastic!

Its out of my budget (not necessarily overpriced as it is big and nice but I can't afford something that big and nice) and in the wrong part of the country but its a nice house.

If I was play silly nit picky games I personally don't like massive kitchens and big bathroom but lets be honest too big is far better than too small.

A final update: The house has been sold and my friend has moved to a smaller house in a much more desirable area, across the country. This has happened in the last few days and she is already 'attacking' her new to her, house with gusto.
The new house is a 1930s semi with a huge garden, and a beautiful kitchen diner extension. She is very happy.

Thank you everyone for your comments.
