Yes - but we've been here just under a year, have changed it in ways that make it work better for us (not necessarily for others - I could envisage the house appearing on a 'spotted on Rightmove' thread if it was listed tomorrow) and nothing major has changed about us

No, but that's because I would like a single storey house now.

Like a lot of Aussie houses, mine has bedrooms and a bathroom downstairs, as well as the upstairs ones, but I'd like it all on the ground level.

Yes! I still get a thrill every time I walk throughout my home. It's my dream house. We bought it August 2020 for £491k and it's now worth about £820k so wouldn't even be able to afford it now.

So glad we made the jump.

No, not now because our family dynamics have changed. But I don't regret it.

Plus I could never afford it, anything like it now. Buying my house 9 years ago it's doubled in value. Insane. Then we extended it which possibly might have been as well invested ( ie frittered away) we are almost broke now, buy the house has equity so a good choice really. Just no longer works for us

Yes, I have owned my home exactly for months today, and it is growing on me. It took a bit of an adjustment, and I still don’t have all the furniture, and things like air conditioning, which would make life a lot more comfortable, I live in Greece and we are currently having a heatwave… But I am making the best of the situation.

I have a disability, and nobody thought I would be able to do any of this, but I am doing it, and I have learned so much in just a short time, but even I can’t believe it.

No definitely not, I bought it for school catchment area purposes as it was the only house that was equidistant from the two schools we wanted for DS and DD2. It's been a good investment but I am looking forward to moving in a year or two.

Yes and no. Location is still perfect but now I'm a single parent it's too big for me and the garden takes a lot of time (which I don't have). Also mortgage payments are increasing and my wages aren't!

No way I could afford it as it has become 35% more expensive and I wouldn't get a mortgage at these rates. I do love my house.

I would, even though I plan to move in about 4 years. It was the right stepping stone house for us when I left my ex, and should hopefully help me get to my dream property that I wouldn't have been able to afford when I bought this one.

I'm in the same boat. In hindsight my house was a bad choice (we assumed we'd 'upsize' after a few years, but mortgages and COL has put a dampener on that idea). Seriously considering moving a good distance away in order to afford a bigger house/more rural lifestyle.

Yes, I love, love, love my flat. Big mansion flat in Central London, can walk everywhere, theatre, restaurants, museums, life on our doorstep. Bought in 2000 for £295,000 which seemed a fortune then. Now worth £1.2 million but the only way I am leaving is feet first.
