Background: elderly lady 70s, lives alone, rarely goes out, has two adult sons, one nice, one not - we were previously friendly but had loft extension and neighbour got very upset about lots of things - that was two years ago and i thought things were de-frosting

anyway she texted saying she was repairing fence post but got home from work to find this - see pic.

anything i can do as she clearly did this to wind me up?

i agree ivy can be a nightmare but it is so important for wildlife, it’s one of the only food sources for pollinators due to its flowering time.

i cut the bottom of the ivy and the roots. I try to manage it to keep it at a happy medium. Weed killer is so bad for the environment and wildlife.

I've not read the whole thread but you can artificially age things like tiles and fences by spraying or painting some full fat yogurt on them and within a few weeks or months they will have aged to resemble the others.

How lovely replacing a broken panel.

Do I need 3D glasses for that photo?

I think it's a Magic Eye one. Stare at one spot for 15 mins without blinking and it might become 3D🤔

As it's such a fuzzy photo I can't actually see if it is such a different design to the rest of the panels tbh @Northernlass1234 The orange colour will fade very quickly and it will blend in with the rest of the fence in no time at all.

The problem was there was no way of replacing our fence without ripping it off and I didn't want the new fence wrecked by it. We also wanted to cat proof the garden so the fence had to be in good condition to have the netting attached and not let anything in or out.
