The outside does give a hint as to the inside...

😱😱

Tidsleytiddy · 03/03/2023 14:59

Yikes!!!

JuneOsborne · 03/03/2023 14:59

Wowsers, I think this is the best RM link thread ever. That's something else!

DoristheDuchess · 03/03/2023 14:59

Blimey it's a mini Hogwarts

MissyB1 · 03/03/2023 14:59

Yuk! 😂

WoeBeCome · 03/03/2023 14:59

Love the line ‘in need of modernisation’. I love it when people have such a strong sense of what they want their house to look like.

bellac11 · 03/03/2023 15:01

There is already quite a long thread about this

SettingPrecedents · 03/03/2023 15:01

Umm… wow! They really went for that!

FeebasAquarium · 03/03/2023 15:03

Can’t believe they left the radiators boring and white.

TooExtraImmatureCheddar · 03/03/2023 15:04

An Englishman's home is his castle!

Tooley76 · 03/03/2023 15:04

I’m kind of impressed?!

JassyRadlett · 03/03/2023 15:04

Do we think the sex dungeon is under the decking, or is 'additional room' code for 'you don't want to know'?

WFHbore2023 · 03/03/2023 15:05

Looks like an escape room set

DangerPigeon · 03/03/2023 15:07

Wow!

Fromwetome · 03/03/2023 15:07

What a mess...and they did an extension that removed a bedroom so instead of 2 it went down to one...

LavenderSloe · 03/03/2023 15:15

Wow, I love quirky but that's a bit much for me

80sMum · 03/03/2023 15:15

Oh dearie me!! Somebody got a bit carried away with the medieval theme, methinks!

I would love to have seen the estate agent's face when they turned up to do the valuation! 🤣

MuchuseasaChocolateTeapot · 03/03/2023 15:18

Oh my! What is the weird door with the steps in the kitchen?

QuertyGirl · 03/03/2023 15:20

Fantastic! They've done exactly what they wanted and, grown old there.

ItsRainingCatsAndDogsAgain · 03/03/2023 15:27

I see it's a probate sale. Well done to the owner (RIP) for creating something so individual. I hope they were happy there. Not to my own taste, but definitely better than grey, grey and more grey.

Atethehalloweenchocs · 03/03/2023 15:29

I love anyone who does not do bland and beige. Someone had a lot of fun with this.

Junebughustle · 03/03/2023 15:30

I'm just impressed with the sheer scale of project management that had to take place here!

I think it's fab! Much better than some formulaic grey monstrosity. If I bought it I'd have to save some aspect of that history.

scoobydoo1971 · 03/03/2023 16:05

I really love that house. I would have bought it years ago when starting on the property ladder. To be honest, if you don't have a thing for medieval aesthetic, there is nothing on show in those pics that couldn't be sorted out quickly with a few pots of paint and a good sander. I would be inclined to keep some of the quirks as they give character. I can almost hear the monks singing in there 😁.
