The outside does give a hint as to the inside...

I love it! Couldn't see any of my current furniture fitting in there unfortunately. But that staircase! Looks lethal. It gives off a tree house vibe

PaulaPaola · 03/03/2023 16:16

I can't tell iIf it's actual stonework or just painted to look that way.

boobot1 · 03/03/2023 16:22

I love it, original😂

Arniesleftleg · 03/03/2023 16:22

Jesus, Mary, Joseph and the wee donkey!

I bet that place has been used for ritual killings and devil worship!

notangelinajolie · 03/03/2023 16:23

There was a thread about this yesterday.

MNisMyGuiltyPleasure · 03/03/2023 16:24

It looks like something out of Changing Rooms!

illiterato · 03/03/2023 16:26

The world needs more people like these owners. It’s epic. I love it.

WiIson · 03/03/2023 16:26

Oh wow. I can't make up my mind whether I love it or hate it.

YouOKHun · 03/03/2023 16:32

Ah yes, B&Q Dungeon aesthetic. Makes me pine for a tin of magnolia paint.

Zizz · 03/03/2023 16:36

Fantastic! Does it come with a sex slave included?

Cocobutt · 03/03/2023 16:38

Oh wow!
I was not expecting that!!

Definitely not my style but it’s quite cool how it’s so unique.
They definitely had a theme going on.

I think this is one of the best rightmove threads. Thanks for sharing it OP!

Those stairs! Like a dangerous step ladder.

Livinghappy · 03/03/2023 16:53

Looks like a film set from the outside. I wonder what the neighbours think.

Anyone know the area?

SicParvisMagna · 03/03/2023 17:03

Well Mr homeowner, what kind of look would you describe your house as?

Anne Boleyn locked in the Tower of London circa 1536 meets Hampton Court but on a Bijou scale.

Right. Gotcha.

riotlady · 03/03/2023 17:04

I am imagining a fabulous pair of goths growing old there together

Justforlaffs · 03/03/2023 17:05

I reckon Laurence Llewelyn Bowen must’ve got his hands on that in an old episode of changing rooms and ran with a “Camelot” theme!!

JustKeepGoingThere · 03/03/2023 17:15

Yikes!

Summerhillsquare · 03/03/2023 17:26

Horbury is actually a very pleasant place.

spuddel · 03/03/2023 17:29

😆Just showed DH who absolutely loved it, said it's great when owners just go for it. I'd better not leave him alone in here for too long!

Quent · 03/03/2023 17:30

I laughed at the understated "in need of modernisation" in the listing. Just a few centuries Grin

millymog11 · 03/03/2023 17:51

i wonder why the estate agent called the second upstairs room an "additional room" instead of "second bedroom". I cannot tell from the photos whether they are saying you cannot actually get a bed into the second upstairs room. Its weird way to describe it in any event.

SpringyChicken · 03/03/2023 17:52

Yikes indeed!

Agree the bland radiators really stand out

Snazzysausage · 03/03/2023 17:54

Flippin' 'eck! 😱

mathanxiety · 03/03/2023 17:59

A can or three of magnolia and Bob's yer uncle.

I see it's a probate sale. Well done to the owner (RIP) for creating something so individual. I hope they were happy there. Not to my own taste, but definitely better than grey, grey and more grey.

This!
