The outside does give a hint as to the inside...

I bet they had a lot of fun living in that house. Good on them.

Wolfcub · 03/03/2023 18:13

It's erm unique

CrepuscularCritter · 03/03/2023 18:15

I strangely like it. Aside from the steps leading down from the decking, which I'm sure would see me picking gravel out of my knees regularly if I lived there.

There was a pub in Carlisle in the 1980s that was done up as a set of medieval shops. I'd love to think there was some connection between the two.

i wonder why the estate agent called the second upstairs room an "additional room" instead of "second bedroom". I cannot tell from the photos whether they are saying you cannot actually get a bed into the second upstairs room. Its weird way to describe it in any event.

From the floorplan, it looks like you can only access it via the bathroom.

nilsoften · 03/03/2023 18:39

Better to live your life creating visual dreams from your imagination in reality than live a life of beige conformity. All glory to the mediaeval one bedroom !

Ylvamoon · 03/03/2023 19:19

It's definitely unique, shame about the garden it completely lucks imagination.

PolkaDotMankini · 03/03/2023 19:27

I hope the "additional room" is accessed via a secret door in the bathroom.

I think it's great. Who needs a castle when you can just style your 2-up-2-down? It's not for me but I can imagine at least two of my friends living there.

nilsoften · 03/03/2023 20:07

Could be a pied-à-terre when Harry and Meghan come visiting now they have lost Frogmore 'Cottage'. 😁

moveoverye · 03/03/2023 20:22

What I love is the way the estate agent says it needs “ComplETE refurbishment” in the audio tour!

That's vintage funky and rather nice in an I don't give a fuck truly Bohemian way.

CouldIHaveThatInEnglishPlease · 03/03/2023 21:55

I think that’s incredible. I love a home with a personality.
bathroom is a bit of a let down though, especially that bath panel

All those books 😍 a not a single tv I can spot in the house. I bet whoever lives there would be incredible company at a dinner party

AlwaysLatte · 03/03/2023 22:09

Wow! Decorated by a bored theatrical scenery artist during lockdown?

anon37484291918 · 03/03/2023 22:13

I would love this. So much effort has went into it. I would keep it exactly as it is.

This person seems like a lot of fun

LittlePinkPill · 03/03/2023 22:14

How are the neighbours on a level where they can park cars, but this house doesn’t, has it got a sunken garden?

LittlePinkPill · 03/03/2023 22:18

Clawdy · 03/03/2023 16:49

Those stairs! Like a dangerous step ladder.

I think they are to the attic?
if you look at pic 12, the ladder stairs are in the far corner but in the left of the pi, through the doorway, you can see the newel post to the proper stairs. Those are the proper stairs you can see in the kitchen in pic 9.

That is genuinely awesome. Bet the owner is awesome too. I love it.

echt · 03/03/2023 22:31

Two amazing houses. I love it when house owners go for broke. Smile

The first one has the quality of an optical illusion.

MistyGreenAndBlue · 03/03/2023 22:31

The Baroness will see you now.

KindergartenKop · 03/03/2023 22:41

It reminds me of a medieval style house I built in the Sims 20 years ago. Especially the kitchen.

NeverTrustAPoliceman · 03/03/2023 22:47

Both houses are miles better than the grey that is so common at the moment. I love the Market Rasen one, it is s fabulous and the owner is bound to be a real character.

turnthebiglightoff · 03/03/2023 22:50

That's Blackadders house, surely?

Twilight7777 · 03/03/2023 22:59

I actually love it! I love the attention that someone paid to it!

justasking111 · 03/03/2023 23:02

What a holiday you'd have staying there. I wouldn't change much
