Need help to come up with a name for our home/wedding venue business!

I have a mental block when it comes to naming our new venture and thought I would get the wonderful Mumsnet hive mind to help!

Some back ground:

We have been asked if we would be interesting in hosting small weddings at our home and part of this involves creating social media pages for our property, we need something to refer to our property as, not just 'Sue and Gary's house'

This will potentially turn into a regular little money earner so I'm keen to get off to the best possible start and come up with a memorable name.

I'll give a description of our property:

Large red American barn style home.
Set on a small farm / lovely gardens.
Surrounded by vineyards.
Home interior has a slight Sante Fe aesthetic but mainly country / rustic style.

Our surname is that of a bird, so I have considered incorporating that somehow but it's not crucial.

The obvious name is something like 'The Red Barn' but there is already a wedding venue with that name in another area (about 4 hours away from us)

I like a name that conjures up a mental image...so something descriptive, red, barn, farm, bird etc...

Some of my ideas have been:

The Red Homestead
Red Barn
Red Barn Homestead
The Starling Barn
The Hitching Post (bit cheesy?)

I keep going round in circles and feel like there must be something better...any suggestions?

Use a synonym for red?
Ruby Farm
Cherry Farm
or
Birdsong Ranch

I like that.

Ruby Ranch

I thought The Wedding Barn was good right at the start as you might get a lot of searchers googling that as a noun?
'grange' is French for barn and also an old term for it. I think that would be an elegant word to incorporate. Good luck. Sounds a fun business.

so far I think Starling's Ranch is the best.

Maybe get past the idea you have to incorporate "red" into it somehow. If you plan to offer a rustic, ranch-like (you said Santa Fe/southwest, and there are ranches there, not farm) vibe, call it that. Don't tie yourself down to red.

It might naturally develop the nickname "..the ranch.." among clients. "Oh, yes, of course we're having our do at the Ranch.."

Starling's Ranch would look good on marketing materials. It's definitive, easily pronounced, and has a better vibe than all the "little red hen" farmhouse imagery. IMHO.

Starlings

Or Starling Farm

Are my two faves. Love the sound of your venue!

Whatever you choose, Google in etc. first. Make sure there's nothing else with the same name or using the website domain you'd want. Same on Instagram etc.
