Just been browsing rightmove and found this quirky house

I'm not sure if I love it or hate it. It's certainly interesting. The decor would give me a headache. It's a strange one.

Not for me I’m afraid. The open plan bedroom-bathrooms give me the ick.

Pasithea · 16/04/2022 11:07

What’s quirky about it. 💁

Dibdobdoo · 16/04/2022 11:07

Yes, the hammock bedroom is really weird, with its open plan layout.

It's quirky to me, weird layouts and strange decor etc.

I love it. And what a price! But you'd need that in cash. 🤔 I'd change a few things such as doors on the bathrooms, change bathroom decor (don't like the tiles or wallpaper) and different furniture. But it's an amazing layout, quirky rooms etc. I think it's fab.

over2021 · 16/04/2022 11:09

I could live there- wood burner, double oven, utility room and gorgeous views. I'd probably put a couple of stud walls up to separate the bedrooms/bathrooms but wouldn't bother me that much.

That money would get you a 2 bed flat where I live so there's no contest.

MerryMarigold · 16/04/2022 11:10

And I like most of the wallpapers.

cherry978 · 16/04/2022 11:11

I really like it! (Not the decor) but the general size and the price is really good! It has so much potential.

Dibdobdoo · 16/04/2022 11:12

I don't like the wallpapers, but it's the kind of house that would look wrong just painted white throughout.

Nice views

MrsSkylerWhite · 16/04/2022 11:14

I think it’s ugly. Someone will love it though.

SoupDragon · 16/04/2022 11:16

I love it but the open plan toilets would have to be walled in!

I think I'd want to make it into one property too.

saggyhairyass · 16/04/2022 11:16

Same @over2021 £400k gets you very little where I am. I'd need a driving licence and a car but it's quite appealing.

LadyMacduff · 16/04/2022 11:17

I really like it but would remove the open plan bathrooms and tone down the colour scheme.

LadyMacduff · 16/04/2022 11:21

Also, i've just looked at the layout and it's bizarre.

VerifiedBot2351 · 16/04/2022 11:35

It’s horrible. Those en suites are terrible. I don’t think it’s quirky either, but rather bland.

JaneIsInsane · 16/04/2022 11:39

Picture 15 makes the room look like it’s closing in on you. I’d find the house very claustrophobic.

JeffThePilot · 16/04/2022 11:40

It’s unusual but I love it.

JaneIsInsane · 16/04/2022 11:41

But then I don’t like beams or wood burners either. Grin
I don’t find it quirky just oppressive. But I guess it’s what you’re used to.

Brownduck · 16/04/2022 11:44

It would make a good holiday home but I don’t think I’d like to live there permanently.

Blossomtoes · 16/04/2022 11:51

The layout is odd and I’d have to sort the bathrooms out but those views would compensate for an awful lot.

Georgeskitchen · 16/04/2022 11:52

Beautiful part of the country ( fairly local to me) but defo not to my taste......or budget!!

MagicMatilda · 16/04/2022 11:53

Love it!!!!

Chickychickydodah · 16/04/2022 11:56

I quite like it ! but it needs warming up. It looks cold and the decor is a bit 🤢.

cloudylemonade13 · 16/04/2022 11:57

I think it's beautiful OP, lots of scope to change (close off those bathrooms!), brighten up and make it your own, and also add value in the process.
