Wonder who this belongs to?

That is absolutely amazing!

SiobhanSharpe · 06/04/2022 13:45

Any guesses about the owner(s) -- actor, musician?
Not really thinking footballer but could well be wrong!

SockFluffInTheBath · 06/04/2022 13:49

The views are stunning, that garden is lovely.

Saisong · 06/04/2022 13:51

A oligarch selling up?

BlueSpottedGiraffe · 06/04/2022 13:56

A lot of the decor isn't to my taste but it's a stunning house and grounds!

WannabeGilmoreGirl · 06/04/2022 13:56

I was thinking actor due to the large gold statues but it does have its own small golf course so maybe sportsperson?

HollyBollyBooBoo · 06/04/2022 13:57

Do you think you ever feel cosy in homes that big, feels so cold (not in the literal sense).

belizabus · 06/04/2022 13:57

I think footballer - Arsenal or Tottenham from location. Also there's an 11-a-side goal in the back garden.

CheedarChese · 06/04/2022 13:59

What about this one?

Now that one is the one for me!!

CheedarChese · 06/04/2022 14:01

I think I'd feel perfectly fine in homes that big easily 😂

It's an incredible property in an amazing location. Far beyond my wildest dreams and obvs would be amazing to be able to buy something like that.

But.... There's something a bit depressing about it. The isolation of watching films or ten pin bowling (with whom?) in your house seems lonely. All the things we leave home for; the gym, a swim with the children, bowling for a kids party, date night at the cinema are all within your four walls. Like lockdown really.

Maybe it's because of all the white paint but it seems.... Soulless

FindingMeno · 06/04/2022 14:04

I must be odd, as I really don't like big fancy houses.

darlingdodo · 06/04/2022 14:05

Wouldn't live in either of them - vast swathes of unused space, the decor doesn't match the exterior. Both houses look as if they've been 'done' by an interior designer. To me, houses (or rather homes) should be organic - they should grow with the owners and reflect their taste.

CheedarChese · 06/04/2022 14:05

I've just searched for most expensive homes for sale within 40m of London, it's unbelievable. Makes you wonder what's going on...Hmm

MiniTheMinx · 06/04/2022 14:06

The first one looks cold and unwelcoming. The second house is lovely. I like the kitchen, and I want that bathroom :)

CheedarChese · 06/04/2022 14:08

I know what you mean by soulless. But remember you gut your house of all family trinkets, pictures, crap scattered around before estate agent takes the pictures....

I think some must be oligarch houses for sure.

OP posts:
SiobhanSharpe · 06/04/2022 14:08

Not so keen. All that purple in the entertainment room! (And elsewhere.) Looks more like a smallish country house hotel.
And you'd need a further 20 million or so to do all the proposed works - the pool room, lodge etc.

LexingtonsHome · 06/04/2022 14:09

That second one seems more like a hotel to me with its own diner!
I can understand the appeal but I think I'd start to feel lost. Maybe a £10m homes would suit me better!!

CheedarChese · 06/04/2022 14:09

I think with a number of dogs and kids roaming about the place, it wouldn't feel empty Grin

You have to remember those simple trips out for us are much more difficult for celebs/less enjoyable if they are constantly being spotted so I can imagine it's good to have things at home too.
CheedarChese · 06/04/2022 14:12

It'd be fine if you were in an established social circle of elitists and were often going round to be entertained to each others pads weekly etc....obviously you'd have staff...

Lovely house, absolutely hideous furniture.
