Nope. Nothing unusual at all.

It was listed at £1.2M less than 2 years ago! Shock

How do even get to the random 2nd kitchen?

Think you have to die.

Notjustabrunette · 30/03/2022 00:04

I used to live in the area and must have gone past this place all the time. Had no idea there was a swimming pool in there! Who knew?

lettherainfalldown · 30/03/2022 00:07

@sadeyedladyofthelowlandsea

Errrmmm... the toilet has a butt gun hose attachment.
@sadeyedladyofthelowlandsea that’s just a bidet shower which is common throughout Asia and the Middle East
MostlyEatingBiscuits · 30/03/2022 00:07

And the 'Caution, no lifeguard on site' notice. So health and safety covered then.

Can you imagine being invited to dinner in that flat unless C4 had set it up for Come Dine With Me ?

I feel that it would be Very Unsettling. Not least because I've never fancied eating a meal in a venue where the swimming pool chemical smell must pervade the enclosed space.

Hasselhoffsheadband · 30/03/2022 00:12

My first thought was the damp! And how cheap it is.

Also, why are they storing their pasta and cereal on the cooker hood?

Pyri · 30/03/2022 00:12

Oh god please someone call up and find out more!

tkwal · 30/03/2022 00:14

I'm almost speechless. They could have tidied up before the pics were taken. What , I mean why would you spend all that money on something so tacky ? Did anyone else notice the mouldy board behind one of the oh so cheap tub chairs ? I can almost smell the damp. I think I'll pass thanks

PickAChew · 30/03/2022 00:14

It's "trendy" though 🤔

sadeyedladyofthelowlandsea · 30/03/2022 00:14

@lettherainfalldown I know, but there isn't much demand for them in the UK. In the context of what the rest of the flat is like, I imagine it was put in for 'reasons'.

Good find and shows the glass living room floor properly.

I’m searching to find if any businesses are registered there. Think it’s no 422?

MostlyEatingBiscuits · 30/03/2022 00:18

And the little lit up shriny thing with a crucifix, rosary and what looks like postcard of Jesus. All above a huge radiator mounted on its side.

BrieAndChilli · 30/03/2022 00:18

I found a Twitter thread on it and someone said they rent from the same landlord and this is what is in their bathroom!! Also said the landlord would have parties ther but they were never invited!

Other people found a listing for just renting the pool for £300 a week!

Just a perfectly ordinary flat. Nothing to see here.
GroggyLegs · 30/03/2022 00:19

The evening standard link shows the glass floor in all it's glory.

But I'm upset nobody's taken the time to peel the stickers off the white goods in the underground kitchen in that whole 2 years.

BrutusMcDogface · 30/03/2022 00:20

@Gardeningcreature

My eyes! What the hell is going on there? A swimming pool amongst what can only be described as a shithole.
🤣🤣🤣
DrSophia · 30/03/2022 00:20

Caprice used it in an episode of CDWM apparently. Plus I read that the LL/owner has a number of other properties locally with similar levels of weirdness.

LBFseBrom · 30/03/2022 00:22

It's certainly quirky and has that mixture of being a bit tatty but in North-London-which-makes-it-OK sort of vibe. I wonder how many people live there at the moment. It could be really nice if it was redecorated and had some half decent furniture. I wouldn't like the swimming pool in the lower ground because I would have nightmares about somebody drowning there, or being drowned by a burglar (I wouldn't have the same concerns about a pool outside). Not a bad price for North London.

VanGoghsDog · 30/03/2022 00:23

@PriamFarrl

The thinking is that it was a knocking shop.
Yes, it looks that way. I've seen this on the market before. Or drug den.

Other than that pool, stupidly small bedrooms, bathroom via the kitchen, idiotic secund kitchen, etc, if remodeled it's quite a lot of floor space and could be a decent flat!

MostlyEatingBiscuits · 30/03/2022 00:26

They have used some mugs though. There used to be six on that tree. There's only one now.
Ormally · 30/03/2022 00:28

@BrieAndChilli

It’s very very odd. I did the 3D tour and the clothes in the walk in wardrobe look white male, and lots weights etc plus what look likes bottles of supplements in above the bathroom cabinet. I would have expected a few more things like make up/skimpy outfits if it was a brothel?

Very very odd!

Saunas, weights.... Think that's certainly male. Even more minimalist than skimpy outfits.
KloppsTeeth · 30/03/2022 00:28

My eyes! It’s like a madman has had one of those crazy extra rooms in the house dreams and made it a reality.

LBFseBrom · 30/03/2022 00:29

Continued - I pressed 'post' too soon.
It's a place you could do a lot with if you wanted to spend the time and a bit of money. Only two bedrooms as it is currently arranged but the two bathrooms are a good feature. Definitely a young-ish person's flat, shared with another or others, hence the kitchen area in one of the rooms as well as a 'proper' kitchen. I imagine it has been let furnished for a while seeing as it was previously on the market and didn't sell.
