Bifolds first, and they are nearly finished! Will get a photo hopefully before they lock up the side access.

They’ve said the frame for the lantern is here already, but the glass is due to be delivered first thing tomorrow. So hope that does come.

@Callmejudith that is rubbish. I remember in my previous house we had a new drive laid only for the tree surgeons to spill oil all over it. I was there scrubbing with washing up liquid. I must have looked like a mad woman.

We also have just had a skip delivered and I'm slightly worried about others dumping their crap in it.

Very happy bunny over here. We have a new fuse board, outside lights (for the first time in 12 years), silver sockets everywhere, a plugged in oven, a lovely illuminated mirror in the WC and no more extension lead to the boiler!

Also they came and took away loads of crap so for the first time we can see the size of the room and it’s lush

My bath has finally arrived in the UK. It should be with me mid to end next week!! Big hold up on getting master bathroom finished, but I'm hopeful 🤦🏼‍♀️

I’m saving the bubbles for Thursday when the worktop is in (I’ve also seen some amazing flutes in h&m home which I may have to buy)

Back down to earth with a bump. We have to provide pics to the door company to make sure everything is correct for install. I asked builder last week is he 100% sure it’s done. Yes. Builder sent the pics yesterday. Doorman calls me this morning - it’s not done. FFS. Someone is coming on Saturday morning apparently. I despair

Exciting deliveries here, radiators, and turf for the wildflower roof!

I just ordered a radiator too - exciting!

We currently have 3 radiators in our hallway plus 2 baths in the sitting room all waiting to be fitted. The scaffolding is coming down tomorrow so hopefully things are moving forward quickly. I have someone coming to measure up for carpets this afternoon as they need to be ordered if want any chance of having them laid by Christmas!

I’m particularly looking forward to seeing the wildflower roof!

Lantern frame is in place, glass arrived and is up there, should be done soon!

Then DPM, UFH, screeding, screed drying, more plaster board, kitchen measuring. It’s all a long way to go still but at least today’s bit is exciting!

@LivingInABuildingSite those doors are epic. What brand did you go for. I'm costing our plan at the moment so have lots of decisions to make.

I think we have decided on no rooflight for the extension. I've managed to fit windows on the side and we are going to make the sliding doors / bifold as tall as possible. We will get a really good sized master this way and the rooflight was not central anyhow so I'm not sure how much extra light it really would have given.

Your all so lucky to be fitting out. I haven't even got planning yet but you lot are making me so excited!!!

I think you’ve made the right decision tbh, it as in a unusual place. Make the doors tall (we’ve done that) and go for narrower frames if Poss.

My doors are Origin, narrow frames, they have a code, called OB49 which is the narrower frame reference I think.
Went for anthracite grey after much toing and froing between that and white. Still a bit nervous about the darker colour of I’m honest.

Hi all been following you guys with all the ups and downs. Don't think I'm cut out for this. Twenty odd weeks into a loft conversion still not finished. Just found out firm has gone into administration. I have no words.

Here's our sky garden! Non-tech summary, water retaining egg carton, base layer, soil mix, wildflower turf. Good insulation and water management straight away, looking forward to flowers in the spring! 🌸🐝🌼🦋 (where's my deckchair?)
