I once stayed in a hotel painted like this and it completely did my brain in!

I feel like doing myself in just looking at it.

TheLightSideOfTheMoon · 05/08/2021 14:23

Fuck, no.

Hideous!!

freelions · 05/08/2021 14:26

My eyes hurt just thinking about it!

I can't stand not being able to see properly

JaninaDuszejko · 05/08/2021 14:26

I suspect it's brighter than the photos make it appear, I can't even see any windows in the main room! But it's just paint and the fixtures and fitting are OK so you'd just have to go in with a big pot of pure brilliant white and it'd be fine.

hudagee · 05/08/2021 14:27

No. i'm against dark brown walls as how do you spot the spiders?

hudagee · 05/08/2021 14:27

not dark brown just dark

parietal · 05/08/2021 14:34

the photos are definitely not flattering, but it might be lighter than it looks.

and you can always buy a tin of white paint

inmyslippers · 05/08/2021 14:35

Feels like some kind of sensory experiment

mnahmnah · 05/08/2021 14:37

I cannot even begin to get my head around the redecorating.

BeenThruMoreThanALilBit · 05/08/2021 14:38

Peter Stringfellow springs to mind

Roselilly36 · 05/08/2021 14:38

No, imagine how many coats you would need to cover that!!

wonkylegs · 05/08/2021 14:47

This is the apartment for a man who thinks he's all dark and mysterious but actually is having a midlife crisis after leaving his wife
Someone will buy it, they will probably be single and not really live in it.

TokyoSushi · 05/08/2021 14:49

Oh wow. No.

Mochudubh · 05/08/2021 15:15

It's horrible, dark and looks poky, although the particulars say it's 93m2 which is the same as my 3 bed terrace.

MedusasBadHairDay · 05/08/2021 15:38

I had a black bedroom as a teen, the novelty wore off when you could never see what you were doing.

QuantumWeatherButterfly · 05/08/2021 15:41

As I was looking at those photos, all I could hear was the 'Cruella Deville' song from 101 Dalmations.

Taoneusa · 05/08/2021 15:45

Pretentious, dismal!

BlueMongoose · 05/08/2021 15:46

I've had worse decor than that. Have worse decor than that, in fact. E.g., ntil we can redo the bathroom here, we have 1970s speckle-y brown and green fully tiled walls, + a suite in a hammered brown finish with a castleated pattern round the edges. And a pink carpet. With a pinky-fawn painted anaglypta roof. And immitation gold fittings. TBH all black would be preferable. Envy
I've had two years with it, and it will be at least another year before we can even think of changing it.

Grin ^^^
suziedoozy · 05/08/2021 15:49

I would buy it…. If I could afford to pay a decorator to go through with multiple coats of white paint before I moved in!!

Warmduscher · 05/08/2021 15:50

Looks like they nicked their towels from a hotel though.

Leftbutcameback · 05/08/2021 15:52

Gotham city?! It’s a shame the interior designed couldn’t come up with something a bit more imaginative than just painting everything black Hmm

BlankTimes · 05/08/2021 16:19

I'm on the pc so can't enlarge the image to read what it says on the towels, but I did wonder if they were from a hotel.

StapMe · 05/08/2021 17:13

You could hide all sorts of filth in that and no one would be able to see it. Ditto the black towels. Yuk!

eightlivesdown · 05/08/2021 17:22

Works for the vendor I guess, but very likely buyer will redecorate. I would.
