I once stayed in a hotel painted like this and it completely did my brain in!

@Roselilly36

No, imagine how many coats you would need to cover that!!
Exactly what I was thinking. It would take for ever to cover that.
lboogy · 05/08/2021 18:56

Yes I would. Just needs a good old white wash. I couldn't imagine living somewhere so dark

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 05/08/2021 20:07

My DS would love it , hide a multitude of filth.

Is that a nice bit of MankyChester ?

ZealAndArdour · 05/08/2021 20:10

I think I could live there for a bit, but I’m a bit of a goth anyway. I think even I’d end up craving some daylight and bright white walls after a while.

I feel like the darkness and decor would have me in party mode and I’d want to get on it all the time.

ZealAndArdour · 05/08/2021 20:11

It would make a fabulous Airbnb.

Brownlongearedbat · 06/08/2021 12:26

I can't understand people asking a decent price for a place but being too tight to pay for a floor plan - even more essential for this place because you can't even see where the bloody doors are.

FatAnkles · 06/08/2021 12:35

I was getting bored with seeing grey in houses on RM (not a serious buyer, just nosy) but this takes it to the next level.

Hitchyhero · 06/08/2021 13:57

If I was 21 and wanted to bring sexy singles back for role play and a little s&M, then this would be for me.

Sadly im old and a family man now 😂

Sometimes people omit the floor plan because there's a weird layout that they hope people will overlook once they actually see the place.

I think this would be ideal as an air b&b, it's quite cool for a short stay but I don't think it would be practical for long term living

TheCanyon · 06/08/2021 14:26

I imagine it may be helpful for my migraines, but fuck no. How depressing.

brokenbiscuitsx · 06/08/2021 14:34

I know I’m alone here, but I don’t mind it. I was expecting a lot worse if I’m honest, something old, chintzy and floral.

I personally couldn’t live in it, one room like it would be ok though. Someone will love it and that’s all that matters.

What put me off though is the allocated carpark space I’d never buy anywhere with an allocated space again it’s just asking for CF parkers neighbour issues.

YanTanTethera123 · 06/08/2021 14:50

Must feel like you’re being buried alive 😱

KurtWilde · 06/08/2021 15:01

I love it, but then most of my house is like that so I would say that Grin

chillibeansauce · 06/08/2021 15:32

It's like the So! In Vienna - pitch black suites. For one night it's fine, I could stay in a black room long term though

Knittedfairies · 06/08/2021 15:40

That's going to need several gallons of white paint.

isettled · 06/08/2021 15:47

I love it.

Our bedroom is black and looks amazing.

I might have to lighten the main living area but the rest looks lovely. The only problem with it all being dark is you see dust far more so would need to keep on top of the cleaning!

All of Manchester is nice :)
MrsMoastyToasty · 06/08/2021 16:10

I think that it was painted by Johnny Nice Painter from the Fast Show.

It's very BLACK, BLACK!!

SpeakingFranglais · 06/08/2021 17:22

I think it's a Man Utd footballer's house, a young one who bought it when he had just started earning big bucks and is now moving on to a huge ugly McMansion in Cheshire.

Lampzade · 06/08/2021 18:07

I feel depressed just looking at it

Seeingadistance · 06/08/2021 18:20

FFS! Where’s the floor plan!

Even with a floor plan I’d be covered in bruises from walking into things in that black gloom!

MuddyStiletto · 07/08/2021 08:21

No, I couldn't get past photo 6
Like living in a tomb

TwoLeftSocksWithHoles · 07/08/2021 08:33

I think Mick Jagger knows a song about this place..

SunShinesBrightly · 07/08/2021 08:34

A truly 'one of a kind' apartment in Piccadilly Basin. Once a Victorian Mill warehouse built in 1933, the building was converted into apartments in 1997 by Maghull, a Liverpool-based developer. The Met apartments have a perfect balance of old and new, by combining the 1920's and 1930's Art Deco style of architecture with the modern living, whilst uniquely retaining its original features.

Ignoring the hideous decor for one moment.

One of the most run down, dodgy areas in central Manchester between Piccadilly station and Piccadilly gardens has now become ‘Piccadilly Basin’

Nothing would tempt me.

custardbear · 07/08/2021 08:42

I like it - but 10 minutes after moving in I'd need to paint it - 57 layers - can you imagine 😱
