So next week is June and the date is looming large! Wiltshire council are being particularly slow and searches not due back till 14th. Offer accepted early March.

36 days and counting between me moving house and a new kitchen and me moving house and saving hard to buy a kitchen in about 2 years time.

Anyone else being to feel the desperation kicking in just to all it all done and dusted!

I'm currently frantically packing as I'm working (interviewing for new staff) all day today, and we move TOMORROW which still hasn't sunk in!!

I feel completely sick about calling the agents this morning to find out what is happening. I feel like by tonight everything could have fallen down around our ears and we will be begging our sellers to wait for us to find another buyer

Good luck today everyone! I am feeling pretty hopeless today after agent tried to get our buyers to move into rented yesterday so the chain below could complete. You'd think we were miles off exchange but she was only talking about exchanging by the end of the week the other day..?

This is true about the sept stamp duty deadline, I guess there's a silver lining there...

I can’t believe it’s been sent so many times and it’s yet to appear @10YellowTulips - shocking!

Spoke to the Agent. She's very certain its the FTB solicitor at the bottom of the chain that's causing the problem and the FTBuyers who don't know any better following his advise about the indemnity.

Apparently the FTBuyers are very committed to the sale from their side... which isn't reassuring. So I guess we wait for any further updates.

I’m just utterly fed up! I’m refusing to pack until we exchange.....

Feel like life in on pause, can’t start to think about shopping for nice things for the new house.

Not sleeping properly and so grumpy with the world, I need to hibernate until it’s all over.

One final enquiry has just been received….have we ever had a rodent infestation (answer, no!). FFS why has it taken months to come up with that one? Buyers’ finances still have a mysterious issue though so not holding my breath.

I think we will be pulling out. All contracts ready to exchange and our buyer isn’t answering phone calls and hasn’t signed the last contract or come forward with the deposit.
Unless we are exchanged by 4pm today we are done. We don’t have the 12.5k we haven’t played games and have been upfront the whole way through. Done all paper work the day it was received etc.

I’m sad but I’ve just become so detached from it all.

@Didicat second you on the holiday and the entirely uninvolved DP... although he has just sent his first email to the solicitors this morning because he's decided there are crossed wires within our chain and needs to know the "facts".

He also wants to threaten to pull out if our buyers don't sort their shit out.

I could honestly just shoot all of them all and take off on the run with the cat.. this has been the slowest morning

I've read on a couple of threads the prediction that a fair few houses will come back on the market when people realise they won't make the stamp duty deadline - is this a realistic prediction does anyone think? Have people really made offers that mean they won't be able to afford stamp duty if they don't make the saving deadline?

Someone I know can’t afford it if it goes past June. And it will. And they’re taking out a stupidly massive loan 🤦🏽‍♀️ Not sure they can even afford the loan if I’m honest.

@Dandelionrarrrr Have you already threatened that to the buyers? It's so frustrating to be left dangling for no apparent reason.

The form needed from our vendor hasn't shown up yet (apparently sent first class recorded yesterday) but today is the last day to request mortgage funds if we want the 24th.

Our solicitor has requested them in readiness. Fingers crossed the form arrives tomorrow. We don't want to book vans if we're not guaranteed a moving date yet.

Especially as Enterprise want £800+ for a Luton van hire for 3 days 😱

We own a van but DH thinks it’ll be 3 van loads at least so will have to hire one for a friend to help us, he owes us! And then throw as much as possible in said friends garage the week before. Whenever that may be 🤷🏽‍♀️ I’d be ecstatic if we got done by June 30th.... realistically we’ll be the ones that either miss it by a day. Or it’ll be September 🤣

Ahhh so much stress, similar situation here in that no mortgage offer from the first time buyers at bottom of chain and no one can apparently understand why, our solicitor says no way to end of month so interesting to see if those in chain above us do pull out like they have been threatening! Aghhhh so sorry for all of you too x

Apparently we are exchanging on the 21st June and completing on the 28th (we are the sellers)

Apparently only thing waiting on our side is HSBC haven't sent through the redemption amount on the mortgage - so I told them to let me know if it becomes an issue and I'll try and chase them up (they've given me the amount just not sent it through officially to the solicitors)

I think it's cutting it v v v fine if there are issues but at least we have dates now!

Anyone else now hate this time of day. Minutes left for any news, distraction of work almost done and the thought of another sleepless night looming 😭😭
