What did your sellers take or leave you with that surprised you when you moved I

When we moved in we found out that the Sellers pulled coat hooks off the walls, took the bathroom mirrors, every lampshade, the washing line and EVEN the washing line post and prop!!!

We were left with a large pot of weed, a bong, some coke and a family guy dvd! We also found some wine

@FatimaMunchy Yeah it’s not the same for everyone and it depends on the builder/development too.

I was anxious about getting a new build over a 2nd hand property (which tend to be bigger per square metre in comparison in like for like areas). There have been snags/issues, so not perfect but I’ve found the aftercare has been good. In context of this thread, it’s made me feel a new build was worth it just for a cleaner handover and experience.

New builds are like marmite though. Not for everyone for sure.

We always leave blinds,curtains ,shutters and would never dream of taking carpets with us 😳. We leave most stuff that’s part of the house, but we reflect this in the asking price.
