Looking around and found one that looks little from the front but goes back for miles!

Anyone ever lived in one like this?

These are ten-a-penny but it's very nicely done. I bet it sells quickly.

BumbleFluff7 · 16/06/2019 23:16

clicky link

PurpleWithRed · 16/06/2019 23:16

www.robertellis.co.uk/property/stafford-street-long-eaton-3/. I can’t get past the price - round here those go for £500’000 (sob)

BumbleFluff7 Thanks! I need to get used to all of these tricks.

£189k!!! Christ, where I live that would get you a 4 bed detached Grin

eBae · 16/06/2019 23:19

I did actually think it looks very sleek and modern.

Macca84 Sadly not around here. You're very lucky!

Sleek and modern? More like a basic, cheap rental...

RuggyPeg · 17/06/2019 06:17

Agree JoJo. It leaves me cold.

AdoreTheBeach · 17/06/2019 06:53

So you have to go outside to access the shower room? And the utility room?

aposterhasnoname · 17/06/2019 07:15

I think the floor plan is wrong, not only do you have to go outside to access the utility room, there’s no door at all for the shower room.

Cersei61 · 17/06/2019 09:57

There is a door in the kitchen that opens into the utility room, and a door in the utility room that leads to the wet room.

I live in a very similar house, except I have a front door on the front and off road parking, to the side of my house, for 2 cars, and a huge back and side garden.

My bathroom is twice as big as that one, with a window, and the main bedroom is much bigger as well.

Great houses - I keep the living room as the 'best' room (only use it when I have visitors/Christmas etc) and live in the back of the house.

Tardis is an apt description :)

Mine would sell for £130,000 at the moment.

BlueSkiesLies · 17/06/2019 09:59

Tardis house? Huh? That is like such a bog standard terrace layout. What a strange thing to post about!

Are you the seller just wanting clicks?

DesperateHouseknife · 17/06/2019 10:10

That was (and probably still is) the most common house layout in the country.

googlegoals · 17/06/2019 10:12

Bog standard house. Very boring. Not a tardis at all.

CmdrCressidaDuck · 17/06/2019 10:14

Yeah, that's a fairly standard terrace layout..?

And it looks cheaply and generically (albeit recently) refinished to me.

Sirrah · 17/06/2019 10:42

My son just bought one which is longer, large lounge/diner, another reception room, kitchen and bathroom on ground floor, three double bedrooms on first floor. This one really is bog standard!

HoneysuckIejasmine · 17/06/2019 10:46

Fairly normal terrace, surely?

Dollywilde · 17/06/2019 10:54

That's what DH and I would call a Homes Under the Hammer decor (we've seen it enough to bother naming it!)

NoBaggyPants · 17/06/2019 10:58

Is this a really bad attempt at advertising?

RageAgainstTheVendingMachine · 17/06/2019 11:02

Tardis house? Does this mean it has a sitting Tennant? Wink

LoafofSellotape · 17/06/2019 11:08

It's not a tardis Confused

That kitchen is really badly done with the long counter top and short cupboards. I'd be going over it with a magnifying glass to check for anything else that had been bodged!

Cersei61 · 17/06/2019 11:10

Yep, VERY common houses where I live - still known as Tardis houses :)

I am in a row of just 3 houses. Next door is a shorter house (just a lounge, dining room and kitchen on the ground floor. The other end house has a separate lounge, HUGE kitchen diner, utility room, cloakroom and a garden room/conservatory on the ground floor. From the outside our houses look the same.

The Tardis references to 'you never know what's behind the front door.....looks small but can be very large'. They are usually a surprise.

Why all the mean posts :(

HotChoc10 · 17/06/2019 11:54

This is more or less the exact layout of my (very average terrace) house!

RuffleCrow · 17/06/2019 11:57

It's a bit like mine. Narrow but they go back a long way. Wish my garden was that size though.
