Looking around and found one that looks little from the front but goes back for miles!

Anyone ever lived in one like this?

Its not that big its only 3 bed its basically its an two up two down.

Goes back miles???? Really??

Chic and modern - just cis its oainted white for a rental?

And wow that lrice for a terrece?

notso · 17/06/2019 12:07

Does this mean it has a sitting Tennant?

GrinGrin

The decor screams developer which makes me think it's all done on the cheap.

NaughtToThreeSadOnions · 17/06/2019 12:11

*The Tardis references to 'you never know what's behind the front door.....looks small but can be very large'. They are usually a surprise.

Why all the mean posts*

Because OP is claiming that this very generically decorated bog standard terrece is a sleek and modern bigger on the inside that goes back miles.

It is simple a bog standard terrace tjat are ten a penny

RuffleCrow · 17/06/2019 12:19

To be fair, i actually think these houses 'feel' a lot bigger than some newer more boxy houses. A lot of 1950s onwards estate houses look huge from the outside but when you get inside you wonder what the developer did with all the space.

sackrifice · 17/06/2019 12:27

How far is this from the new proposed HS2 behemoth that will cut right through LE?

NaughtToThreeSadOnions · 17/06/2019 13:52

Well thats true Ruffle when i was a kid i lived in exactly this type of house with a very long thin garden, and we moved in to modern 1070's box on an estate. And some how the modern house felt more clustaphobic. (Despite going from 2 bed in the terrace to 3 in the box).

I think the amazement here is more that the op has found to her a stunning find and labled it as the tardis house. When it is just a bog standard terrace. It might "feel" more roomy but very few people would be as supriced by a terrace lay out as to call it a tardis.

GreyStreet · 17/06/2019 15:01

@sackrifice - very close!

I’m betting this is op’s house trying to get some extra clicks!

RuffleCrow · 17/06/2019 17:04

Well, If i ever sell up, i'm so going with the Tardis Marketing Board. I'm going to hire a David Tennant alike to welcome viewers and make the tea and do other things to ease the stress of housemoving Grin

Cryinganddyeing · 17/06/2019 17:06

It looks quite small to me for the price?

RomanyQueen · 17/06/2019 17:09

It's nicely done, but agree these are normal size and two a penny. Not really a tardis, unless you are used to much less in that amount of space.

RomanyQueen · 17/06/2019 17:10

It's not a terrace btw, all those saying it is. Grin

kerkyra · 17/06/2019 17:36

As above,my terrace is set out the same. Sitting room, dining room, kitchen, utility with down stairs loo and an extension which we use as a bedroom. People are very surprised when they come to visit. Main bedroom upstairs is hugh

RuffleCrow · 17/06/2019 17:53

I suppose technically it's semi detached but is exactly the style of the average victorian corner terrace in all other respects.

mizu · 17/06/2019 17:56

Wow! The price!! One same size and number of bedrooms one door down from me on for £435,000!!

TitusP · 17/06/2019 18:07

Sorry OP this layout house makes up most of my town!

wowfudge · 17/06/2019 18:45

Reminds me of a couple of student houses I lived in. It's not as long as the photos make out. The garden is a good size though.

eBae · 17/06/2019 19:14

Showing my inexperience when it comes to house layouts, then! I'm afraid we're looking to move from a distant area where it's all fisherman's cottages and bungalows. I've never really been inside a proper terrace and have totally shamed myself with this post. Blush

But seriously, do they suit small families? It's in our range...

Errrr... okay. Research needed on my part! Thanks @sackrifice!

Shitsandgigglez · 17/06/2019 19:24

Are you the developer???

Or someone that has not been in a Victorian/Edwardian semi before? (Which is waaaaaay less likely)

Shitsandgigglez · 17/06/2019 19:26

Ok so seems you've never been in the before. I have lived in many a house like this in my time. Nice high ceilings. Period features been sucked right out of this though - it's v clinical

Bluntness100 · 17/06/2019 19:29

This is a bit odd. It's just a normal house. I'm a but confused by the tardis claim and the even more outlandish claim it's "very sleek and modern".

When clearly it's neither.

eBae · 17/06/2019 19:34

I just have to raise my hand and admit to inexperience. My face is on fire right now even though I know I'm anonymous because compared to my little dated cottage it DOES look modern, and I've genuinely never been inside this sort of house which combined makes me look like an utter, utter idiot...

I'm going to bow out now. Sorry guys. Ignore me. Sad

What a depressing kitchen.

SouthernComforts · 17/06/2019 19:43

Bless you OP, at least you're honest, don't be embarrassed.

usernameuser · 17/06/2019 19:44

If you like it eBae, go for it (after checking HS2), ignore the miseries on here 🧙‍♀️
