Californya.

That's all I'm saying.

DangerousBeans · 24/07/2007 17:28

"Another female neighbour in her sixties, who declined to be named for fear of retribution, said: "They're the wrong sort of people for round here".

Bibis · 24/07/2007 17:28

I lurrrve the names of the twins, makes me want to have more children and for dh to stop work.

IMHO doesn't seem fair on those of us who do either work or don't see our dhs as they are working all the hours god sends just to provide basics

Sheherazadethegoat · 24/07/2007 17:28

actually it is Kalifornya [runs off looking the other way]

bagpuss · 24/07/2007 17:28

Sorry but am rofl at those names.

Bibis · 24/07/2007 17:29

Don't forget Parris

Itsthawooluff · 24/07/2007 17:30

[Listens for sounds of sharpening pitchforks in distance]

zookeeper · 24/07/2007 17:31

they would earn less if they worked. Who could blame them for not working?

The problem seems to be it's in leafy surburbia where it's just not cricket

NotReallyHereHunker · 24/07/2007 17:32

Give 'em a marquee.

expatinscotland · 24/07/2007 17:32

'I was born to have children.' She forgot the 'be a low life' part.

expatinscotland · 24/07/2007 17:32

I was thinking tents, hunker .

zookeeper · 24/07/2007 17:33

nice expat, nice

Sheherazadethegoat · 24/07/2007 17:33

they could live in a shoe.

expat - step away from teh thread containing dual references to housing and benefits.

aloha · 24/07/2007 17:34

I could blame them for not working! Maybe she was 'put on this earth to have children' but I wasn't put on earth to pay for them!

expatinscotland · 24/07/2007 17:34

And cigarette lighters and Kalifornya, goat .

aloha · 24/07/2007 17:35

I'd say 500K is a huge underestimate.

tissy · 24/07/2007 17:35

presumably they don't own the house, and will have to downsize to a smaller house in a less salubrious area when the kids leave home...

zookeeper · 24/07/2007 17:35

perhaps we could send the children up chimneys to assuage the poor tax payer's feelings.

NotReallyHereHunker · 24/07/2007 17:35

Weedy bloke, IMO.

expatinscotland · 24/07/2007 17:36

Oh, yes, zoo, it's so nice that people making minimum wage subsidise able-bodied peoples' deliberately procreating to avoid working.

aloha · 24/07/2007 17:36

Blimey, she's only 35. She could have a dozen more!

NotReallyHereHunker · 24/07/2007 17:36

You think it's OK to have children and children and children and children that you can't afford, ZK?

If I have another 10, will you send me a cheque each month, please?

noddyholder · 24/07/2007 17:36

I am a bit envious

expatinscotland · 24/07/2007 17:37

No, zoo, maybe we should reform the benefits system to reward working where possible rather than handing over £500,000 homes.

zookeeper · 24/07/2007 17:37

It's a neccessary evil of the welfare system
