Can we start a lovely thread with pics of your kitchens to give me some inspiration?? I'm finally in the position this year to have a new kitchen but I'm really unsure. I do like gloss kitchens but I also like painted shaker kitchens.:-)

Hmm I don't know sorry! But the wall units are extra tall as the ceilings are so high in our house.

I don't think they make them anymore but they are solid wood shaker style. And painted so that you can repaint them if you want.

They have a couple of scuffs but actually have weathered well despite two children and a dog!

@bridgetosomewhere - thank you :-)

@NotLikeThis - Oh I'd cry too if I had to leave that kitchen but you will make your next one just as beautiful!!

@Amongstthetallgrass - that's really beautiful - but my floor would never stay that pristine with my fur babies!! :-0

It was from:
pebblekitchens.co.uk
They are based in Bristol and were fab!

LuckyMarmiteLover · 31/03/2019 20:37

We are in pages 37 and 38 of their bespoke brochure. Not bespoke prices though Smile

@NotLikeThis how high are your units above your work surface? Do you struggle with the top shelf? I want to put mine higher as will be a run of them above the sink like yours but DH isnt so keen. I like the idea of less space between the top of the cupboards and the ceiling. I wanted the taller cabinets but they were also deeper and would stick out past the start of the window.

NotLikeThis · 01/04/2019 21:56

I don't know the measurements sorry! The top shelf kind of tip toe territory but it's reachable and I'm not particularly tall. (Proper technical I know) but I hated the thought of wasted space above the cabinets. I'll take a better picture because those were taken over a year ago.

SorrelForbes · 01/04/2019 22:03

Bit late to this thread but here you go! Units are from Units On-lIne and the worktops are from GMQ Marble.

We had our kitchen renovated last year and finished in July. The previous kitchen was 31 years old, dark and cluttered.

I love your dining table. Where did you get it from may i ask? thanks

kaybee77 · 01/04/2019 22:56

sorry the question is to sorrelforbes

SorrelForbes · 02/04/2019 06:42

Thank you. DH made it out of steel and sapele wood. There are two extension leaves so we can sit 16 in total.

MiniCooperLover · 02/04/2019 07:46

Beautiful kitchen SorrelForbes but I have serious bifold door envy 😊

NotLikeThis · 02/04/2019 08:18

Sorrels that kitchen is utterly beautiful. It looks like a really happy home Thanks

SorrelForbes · 02/04/2019 12:35

Thank you all! So kind. We've been doing a whole house and garden renovation since September 15 and I'm sick of it so it's nice to hear that it looks OK! I meant to say on my first post that we don't have any wall units as we have a pantry for all our food storage.

I think it's a happy home. We like to host big gatherings of friends and family and we foster so wanted a big kitchen/dinner with lots of space (and no clutter!)

NotLikeThis · 02/04/2019 13:11

@ShakespearesSisters the gap is about a foot I think?

@Tomboytown and @NotLikeThis - fab kitchens!

@SorrelForbes - fabulous - Units online are definitely one that I'm going to go and visit as their showroom isn't too far from me. Do you find them easy to deal with?

Yes they were really helpful, delivered on time and had some great suggestions when planning the layout.

rosinavera · 03/04/2019 19:21
