Can we start a lovely thread with pics of your kitchens to give me some inspiration?? I'm finally in the position this year to have a new kitchen but I'm really unsure. I do like gloss kitchens but I also like painted shaker kitchens.:-)

Thanks idrink, yes our kitchen cabinets are sound so don't want to get rid but I am so sick of them! I would go for white too, love your tiles btw. All these kitchens are lovely.

Rosinavera, it’s from Wood and Beyond. It’s engineered oak so is suitable for kitchens. I think I paid £39 per m2, so less than B&Q prices.

Not super tidy I’m afraid and not finished yet (still need to paint the light/extractor box over the island), but this is ours.

Some lovely kitchens on this thread! Ours is three and a half sides so difficult to photograph but I had a try.

Here's ours, it a DIY kitchens one. Excuse the light fitting, I haven't found new ones I like yet.

Designed by a Mnetter OneDesign, cupboards form DIY Kitchens, and shipped over to France, granite done locally

@whichhouseisbest - sorry just seen your question. It’s 6m long and 3m wide. We moved the living room/diner wall many years ago so the dining bit became part of the kitchen. I don’t know the exact cost but I think it was around £30-£40k including all the appliances (all Neff) and the wine fridge (AEG). It would have cost less in oak but DH chose the white maple and as he had agreed to everything else I didn’t argue!
