Can we start a lovely thread with pics of your kitchens to give me some inspiration?? I'm finally in the position this year to have a new kitchen but I'm really unsure. I do like gloss kitchens but I also like painted shaker kitchens.:-)

@Ambi - Can I ask if that is a ceramic or a composite sink and is it easy to keep clean?

ambi thanks very much.
It’s absolutely stunning.

mimibunz · 27/03/2019 20:34

stayathomegardener Your kitchen is stunning! May I ask where it’s from?

ivykaty44 · 27/03/2019 20:46

teamdixon that kitchen is great, really like it

DavenotChas · 27/03/2019 20:50

Our cabinets are Howdens Fairford in cashmere and were 3k worktops are white quartz with a vein through 2.3k from an independent fitter (supplied large undermount blanco sink too) and appliances were around 2.5k. We're in Essex and Kitchen was fitted 18 months ago.

rosinavera its a ceramic sink from ikea, the domsjo. Its been discontinued and replaced by the Havsen. Dead easy to clean. We chose a white sink as we have very hard water and cleaning the limescale from our old steel sink was a nightmare.

Bakersdelight · 27/03/2019 22:57

What a lovely kitchen!

rosinavera · 27/03/2019 23:10

So Benchmarx have come back in at 8K as well (same quote as Howdens), but their quote includes the worktop, sink, sink drainer and oven hood so overall much better value which is interesting as I always assumed I'd go with Howdens 🤨

DavenotChas · 28/03/2019 18:28

Minicooperlover Go back to Howdens with Benchmarx inclusive quote, I bet they'll match it/undercut it!

rosinavera · 28/03/2019 21:03

@MiniCooperLover - thank you so much for coming back to me - that sounds like a great price and I will definitely go and visit Benchmarx! x

@Wallywobbles do you mean designed by OnePlan?

SarahAHull · 30/03/2019 00:20

Got my new kitchen 2 months ago and I love it so much. Had my old kitchen for sooo many years so it was about time. A friend of mine recomended me to a Kitchen Company in Halifax who deliver all around the UK. Ended up getting the Vogue White Gloss Kitchen Range from them. Can see it on their website on crowndiyhalifax.co.uk/kitchens/vogue-kitchen-range/white-gloss

Will post pictures of my kitchen when I get the chance. Honestly it's beautiful and I got it around £600 cheaper than all other quotes plus free delivery. The owner said that some ranges they order to be made but they also have ranges which they have already purchased in bulk which is why they could offer such a good price.

trickyex · 30/03/2019 16:35

I have a wooden in-frame Benchmarx kitchen (no pics at the moment as am having some work done).
It was a better deal than Howdens and I found them more helpful tbh.
Units and doors are both good quality, not amazing but decent.
I bought my oak worktop from worktopexpress.

rosinavera · 31/03/2019 10:08

@trickyex ooooo please put some pics up when you can!! :-)

@SarahAHull.....looking forward to seeing yours! :-)

Thanks so much for this thread - I am seriously impressed with these kitchens and they've given me loads of ideas

bridgetosomewhere · 31/03/2019 10:33

Ours is probably not very fashionable now As it was seven years ago andI went for a country style as we live in a barn.

Please show me your lovely kitchens so I can get some inspiration??!!
bridgetosomewhere · 31/03/2019 10:34

The breakfast bar was a mistake, we don't use it just bump into it! I did intend to get stools but the dining table is so huge that we all prefer that!

Pics are from house sale photos we had done this year so it has weathered well. It's from Ikea

goldierocks · 31/03/2019 10:46

This is ours (cat not included). We got quotes & plans from DIY, Benchmarx & Howdens. We opted for Howdens in the end and we love it. The floor is Kardean spanish cherry parquet. Worktops are quartz from a local supplier (south east).

goldierocks · 31/03/2019 10:50

Here is the other side, complete with our second cat. They are big fans of the underfloor heatingSmile

MiniCooperLover · 31/03/2019 12:51

bridgetosomewhere, that's beautiful, it's ageing really well and looks brand new still 👍

MiniCooperLover · 31/03/2019 12:53

goldierocks, that's lovely. Can I ask you about your Karndean floor? Did you have to source a fitter yourself? If it's not rude how e much did you pay per square metre? We are looking at the parquet also. DH is debating heated floors. Do you recommend?

rosinavera · 31/03/2019 13:38

@bridgetosomewhere love the kitchen - can I ask what Ikea cabinets you have?

@goldierocks - love your kitchen and the cats too!! :-)

This is my kitchen, it's 7 years old. We are moving soon to a smaller house. It'll be a wrench but the new kitchen is very nice.
