Thought I'd start a new thread as previous one had hit 1000 posts and wouldn't let me reply!

@LookingOptimistic why do solicitors have to be so difficult at times? Hope it gets resolved for you soon.

The indemnity policy came through this afternoon, so we're hoping we might be exchanging sometime next week...unless something else crops up!

I had a mini hissy fit about 4pm today, our buyers who promised they would get out, but actually won't get out had 7 outstanding enquiries on their purchase last week, then none, but the solicitor wasn't happy with the answers, and now they have 4! FFS, I live in a hotel!!!!

Anyway, apparently they 'fully intend' to move out on Friday, and are setting everything up for us to do so, we'll see.

@WBWIFE - nice house but where has all your stuff gone? That's a seriously uncluttered house!

@sandybayley we only moved here in June so not a lot of clutter or belongings really. Just the basics and lots of our DD toys.

Everything in the loft is DD clothes aged newborn - 4 years. We are well stocked seeing as though she is only 16 months Haha.

@BeauticianNotMagician81 Threatening to pull out is an option, but we would have to be willing to follow through! I would prefer to go with a different agent if we start from scratch as this one has been horrible.
It may be that our buyer pulls out themselves because they are not happy that the ground rent increases by £100 a year in 10 years, making it £200 a year. We are waiting for their response on that and in the meantime their solicitors are keeping mine busy with totally pointless enquiries. Month 5.... give me strength.

Just by way of an update, our solicitor is requesting our mortgage advance today, so she must be fairly hopeful too that it will all come together by Friday! Let's see...

Solicitor has just called, we are exchanging tomorrow to complete on Friday, oh my, I am utterly delighted!!!!

We are hoping to complete friday and exchange at some point prior to that. We were hoping it would be today, but the purchaser's solicitor is still asking annoying questions. They still want to complete friday but haven't firmed up when we should be exchanging.

Mortgage mix up with Barclays seems to be sorted anyway.

I think this is the worst bit. I'm surrounded by boxes, the house is a tip and I still don't know if I'm actually moving on Friday or not.

I'm utterly miserable today and wondering whether we should take our house off the market and try again in a few months when Brexit etc is sorted out

@firefirefire I know where you are coming from, this whole process is agonising. We have been on the market for 6 weeks and have had 20+ viweings but only one low offer. Not sure if it is the Brexit or something else, properties certainly aren't selling fast in out area.
People keep telling me that things perk up around Easter, maybe see how it goes over the next few weeks? Hopefully there will be some sort of direction for Brexit by then as well.

Thanks both of you. Any houses on the estate we live in normally fly off the market, it just seems everyone is so wary right now I'm sick of bloody Brexit!

@firefirefire I would hang on. We are the same. We have been on 5 weeks. Lots of viewings but no offers. Everything we are looking at has also been on the market for ages. I don't think people are that bothered about Brexit. It's a little quieter than usual but not massively so. Loads sold around my area just after Christmas, then a load more sold last week. I'm just hoping it's our turn very soon.
