Assuming all you lovely people in a chain still need a support group? Here it is......

Oh no Lynsey. I would push for them to go into rented

pullingmyhairout1 · 17/08/2017 14:05

Can I join. Accepted an offer on mine yesterday. Got 5 to look at Saturday. Am relocating so it's new house, new job, new schools for kids, etc

Gizlotsmum · 17/08/2017 14:09

Fx pulling. Hope it all goes smoothly!

pullingmyhairout1 · 17/08/2017 14:52

Thank you. Am sure I'll be back crying with stress later 😂

OneMoreFrog · 17/08/2017 18:52

Can I join? had two buyers pull out, this is buyer number 3, been trying to sell since March and have our dream house still in reach... just praying it's third time lucky, thought they were messing us around but they seem serious now so fingers crossed.

perhapstomorrow · 17/08/2017 21:11

onemorefrog we are also on buyer no 3. Our very optimistic completion date for end of August now looks like it is out of the window! We have also been on market since March. Still waiting for the enquiries to come back. My nerves are rattled and my insomnia is worse than ever! Also feel bad for the kids as the summer holidays have consisted of major decluttering in preparation for the move that hasn't materialised. Sad

OneMoreFrog · 18/08/2017 00:22

perhaps I'm also really struggling, before the viewings would dump DC in front of TV while I tidied/cleaned instead of going out to the fields/park etc..feel like we've wasted the summer, and the rollercoaster of emotions when buyers pull out has been so tough, the first one pulled out after two and a half months...it was terrible...if you've got to enquiries you are nearly there..It's so hard but I think we need to be cautiously optimistic, they say third time lucky right? Fx

pullingmyhairout1 · 18/08/2017 07:08

I am viewing 6 houses in my new location Saturday with the kids. I need somewhere to go so please somebody bless me with a house that I love that no one else does and I secure it.

Hope everyone else is plodding along ok.

Hi to all the newbies 👋🏻 it's such a rocky road isn't it? Bloody god awful process!!

I have been sold since Jan, took me a while to find a new place, then buyers pulled out mid June 😖 found new buyers straight away and now waiting to complete.

Had good news yesterday, my purchase is ready to go nothing further to do. 2nd lot of enquiries sent back to buyers solicitor a week ago now and nothing since. Have suggested a completion of 15th September. I honestly don't know what I'll do if it falls through again. It's been such a stressful 7 months......!

emma8t4 · 18/08/2017 10:17

Both of our solicitors are back from holiday now so we should start discussing exchange/completion dates today. Woohoo.

Only problem is my mum is now away for 8 nights and she is gifting some of the deposit to us, so looking w/c 28th at the very earliest.

Any advice on what day is best to move? My husband is off during the days anyway and I have days left to take at work, so we can do mid week if it works out best.

OneMoreFrog · 18/08/2017 10:55

pulling good luck with your viewings on Saturday!

bored Sounds like you are nearly there!! Hang in there, my Dad's favourite saying through all this is 'I'm cautiously optimistic' which has given me some comfort!

We have penciled in exchange for a month's time, our buyer's solicitor is doing enquiries on our flat but our solicitor for our purchase has not yet done enquiries, should I be pushing her to do this? We've seen no paperwork at all apart from fittings and fixtures and title plan...our previous sale/purchase time was two and a half months so should we have seem more by now? It's so difficult as I don't know what we are supposed to ask for or if we are just supposed to let them get on with it! But considering when I tried that, it took two and a half months for my solicitor to get the management pack, I don't think it's such a good idea to just leave them to it!

pullingmyhairout1 · 18/08/2017 11:30

Thank you. So excited, but frightened at the same time.

Iamcheeseman · 18/08/2017 14:33

Ahhhhhh we fucking exchanged! Completion set for next friday!

Sorry got disappearing again. This process got very stressful so I found it easier to stay away from everything moving related. Just thought I'd drop in and let you know for anyone who remembers me!

February the house went on the market and sold. First week of March we offered on the new house. Twice our buyer's buyer pulled out and needed replacing! The rest of us agreed to stay in the chain thankfully.

Then there were conveyancing issues with the house we are buying to do with contaminated land and boundaries being wrong which only got resolved last week!

After waiting so long and no dates being mentioned all of a sudden on Wednesday our solicitor says next friday has been suggested for completion then yesterday says we are hoping to exchange today and we bloody did!

The relief is incredible. Our entire lives have been planned from September in the new village and we would have had long drives everyday (including 3 year old dd) of we didn't move before then.

6 months. 2 changes in the chain and we finally exchanged! Now to get the house packed in a week! Ahhhh!

pullingmyhairout1 · 18/08/2017 14:46

Congratulations

fedupslummymummy · 18/08/2017 14:55

Congrats that's great news! We are no further forward and now have a buildings insurance issue which is very frustrating. The house has a history of ground movement and now has all the certification to say it's been rectified. The house was underpinned - which drives fear into the hearts of insurers. We can be insured, but not with an excess acceptable to our lender. Aaaahh!! We've now gone to the vendors insurance company who actually insure the property at present, and they are taking eons to decide if they can change the names on the the insurance!! Wish me luck......

Gizlotsmum · 18/08/2017 17:32

Congrats. Had our survey done yesterday but not heard anything yet..it's driving me mad I just want to know that what we have offered is close enough to what they value it at for us to get the mortgage we need!

Gizlotsmum · 18/08/2017 17:33

Good luck Fed up!

Gizlotsmum · 18/08/2017 17:45

So our buyers survey isn't until 14th September....Arthur. Not sure how ours can be requested and booked in a week and theirs can take so long

fedupslummymummy · 18/08/2017 18:35

Thanks Gizlots hope you get the survey results you want. It's all so nerve wracking isn't it? I'm hoping to be in by Xmas at this rate......

Gizlotsmum · 18/08/2017 18:43

Not sure who arthur is but hope he pulls his finger out and gets the process moving

fedupslummymummy · 18/08/2017 19:12

If he does can you send him my way please?
Arthur Grin

Gizlotsmum · 19/08/2017 16:14

emma8t4 · 19/08/2017 16:55

gizlot ours arrived at 10pm after being surveyed at 2pm they were super quick

pullingmyhairout1 · 19/08/2017 16:55
