We've filled up the old one! (maybe someone on a mobile device could add a post with this link though?)

We've only been on a week, one viewing, which seems rubbish

PaulDacresFeministConscience · 17/05/2017 22:30

Photographer tomorrow - knackered from non-stop cleaning.

Blackfell really sorry to hear you have had so many viewings without a bite. Has the agent been able to offer any feedback or guidance?

merlottime · 18/05/2017 07:48

Hello, can I join? We went on the market last Saturday. Had one viewing Monday (went well but it's the first house the viewers have seen so want to see others before deciding on which to view again). A viewing on Tuesday, but vendor not interested unless we would accept a silly offer. One yesterday, no feedback yet. One tonight and three lined up for Saturday. Am just praying we get an offer in the next week or so as otherwise I expect viewings will tail right off. We think we've found somewhere we want to offer on, but we will be in a much stronger position if we are under offer soon. Feeling stressed already and we have only just started the process.

KoalasAteMyHomework · 18/05/2017 09:53

I hate this part! The morning after a viewing waiting for "feedback". Literally have my phone strapped to my hand!

KoalasAteMyHomework · 18/05/2017 09:56

Appropriate name merlottime haha! Good luck with your viewings. Its so stressful! Been on the market since Feb so been a tense few months.

PaulDacresFeministConscience · 18/05/2017 13:42

Koala best of luck! Fingers crossed that it's positive news.

Ours will hopefully be live on RM later this afternoon. I've spent the morning retrieving things from where they'd been stashed in order to de-clutter for the photographer. He turned up early as well, which meant that I hadn't had time to do the washing up. I hid it in the oven Blush Grin

xandersmom2 · 18/05/2017 15:53

PaulDacresFeministConscience - so funny, we went to see a house a while ago and dh decided to check in the integrated oven (as it looked really small from the outside)...not only was it BEYOND filthy (I mean, just nasty) but the owner's laundry was in there. Grin

Probably had done what you had to do, and cleaned up in a hurry. Just hope they checked in there before turning it on next time....!

KoalasAteMyHomework · 18/05/2017 16:45

Hahaha! I've got stashing stuff away down to an art. It's finding it afterwards that I struggle with...!

Viewers seemed to like it but have some more viewings booked at the weekend they want to do. So will have to wait until Mon before we hear anymore.

No more viewings booked in and am starting to feel very down about it. Really don't want to lose out on another house we love :-(

PaulDacresFeministConscience · 18/05/2017 21:03

Aaaannnd we're live!

Beckyb1 · 19/05/2017 06:16

We put an offer in yesterday on a house and it's been accepted!!

m0therofdragons · 19/05/2017 17:30

Oh my goodness, how hard is it to view properties? There aren't many on the market that offer what we're looking for and the viewings we book keep getting cancelled (only one was because the vendor had an offer and wanted to use our booked viewing to get the offer increased. He was a total prick on the phone. Anyway, they had solar panels which solicitor says are a bloody nightmare re contracts people sign so best out of that one). 3 families have had "family emergencies" so had to cancel. Maybe people in 4 bed houses round here are all having a really unlucky time but I'm rather disbelieving of that excuse.
2 viewings tomorrow (one is a second viewing on a house that may be too much). Fingers crossed we've gone off it or the vendor is happy to drop the price. I thought choosing a house was the easy bit but my goodness it's hard!

FunSpunge · 19/05/2017 18:32

@Beckyb1 was it on the house you mentioned further up the thread?? If so what did you offer in the end? I'm a nosey bitch Grin

@Beckyb1 great news!! Fingers crossed it's a quick process for you! Smile🤞🏻

Beckyb1 · 19/05/2017 18:43

Think I may delete the last comment in case it outs us... Grin
Thanks fun! Got fingers xd for you too? How are things??

FunSpunge · 19/05/2017 18:58

@Beckyb1 crap. There is just nothing on the market. Loads of FTB type houses, plenty of £600k houses but zilch in our budget. We're not in a rush to find somewhere but didn't think we would still be looking nearly 15months after selling. It's so deflating.

FunSpunge · 19/05/2017 18:59

I meant to say £600k + houses

Beckyb1 · 19/05/2017 19:13

How frustrating! Hope something turns up soon for you!!

ElspethFlashman · 19/05/2017 19:28

Well we viewed our dream fantasy "OMG I can't believe we could potentially own this" house today.

Only 10 years old, 5 bedrooms, 2.5 baths, the utility room of my dreams, even a bloody dressing room in the master bedroom which wasn't in the pictures and caused a sharp intake of breath in me I can tell you. Absolutely huge kitchen/dining/living area opening out onto a sun room. DH was going around like this ShockShockShock

We.told the agent we were booked for auction in 8 weeks time and he responded that since the house was only on the market one week, we could be considered if we were interested. (Whereas if it had been on a couple of months ppl would be less inclined to wait that long understandably. )

So he was definitely encouraging and we'll follow up next week and definitely go for a second viewing and express interest and see where we can go re an offer.

But of course now I have THE FEAR. There was a well to do couple leaving when we got there and the agent said there had been plenty of interest and I definitely believe him.

I will cry if I lose it just because we can't close for 8 weeks, I will be gutted!

PaulDacresFeministConscience · 19/05/2017 20:02

Elspeth we also have the fear Sad Our perfect house has already had offers, but we've offered full asking. They're happy to hang around but will continue to market unless we find a buyer for our place. I am waiting for the inevitable call on Monday that a proceedable buyer has pitched up and offered full asking...

Day one of being live. Nothing so far. It feels awful - all this running about to get on the market and now it feels like hurry-up-and-wait.

ElspethFlashman · 19/05/2017 20:12

Yes I suspect we'll have to offer full asking - 430. A lot!!!!

MissDollyMix · 20/05/2017 00:06

Hi there, can I join?! Our 2 bed terrace house went live on RM on Tuesday and we've got 6 viewings booked so far. The first was today and 5 in for tomorrow. Am currently sitting in my living room that looks more like a show home than a living room and feeling very nervous! We haven't found anywhere to move on to yet. We're very limited with location and not much on the market. All the agents I spoke to when I had the house valued said we'd have no trouble selling our house but would struggle to find somewhere to move to. Guess that's quite a common situation across the country.

SchnitzelvonKrummsverylowtum · 20/05/2017 07:56

Great news Becky! We're still waiting for the top of the chain to sort itself out. We've been waiting weeks now, and our buyers are getting very anxious.

DragonMamma · 20/05/2017 10:03

Becky - pleased you had your offer accepted! Lucky you!

We went live on RM at the close of play yesterday (literally 5pm).

Nervously waiting now to see whether we will get any viewers...not done the selling bit before so no idea what to expect but I hope it sells soon as trying to keep it relatively spotless is hard and any hideaways are fit to bursting with hidden crap!

PaulDacresFeministConscience · 20/05/2017 10:23

Well done Becky fingers crossed you have a hassle-free sale.

Dolly fancy sending any viewers my way? Grin Sadly I think our property will be more tricky to sell but we've done our best. Hope you manage to find somewhere that you like.

Dragon It's totally shit isn't it? We've been on RM for not quite 48 hours yet and nothing so far. Agent is reassuring me that everything is fine and not to worry. We aren't in the SE so the market here isn't as hot as it is down there. But I am sitting here on tenterhooks, obsessively dusting things in case the phone rings and it's to book a viewing. I keep telling myself we just need one person to want it.
