With the amount of orders that are already on here, they would have soon discovered their monumental cock up. Having already been the victim of credit card fraud I can't afford for my card to be cocked up again. Some-one else on here only authorised a certain amount to go out of their account and the full amount was taken (think it was Verbaudet).

LilRedWG · 28/11/2008 12:32

Have ordered, but will believe it when they arrive.

Thanks anyway GC.

Dropdeadfred · 28/11/2008 12:32

i wish people wouldn't ring though..just in case some slipped through the net?

DeckHallsWithFIMBOughsofHolly · 28/11/2008 12:37

I have already explained why.

dilbertina · 28/11/2008 12:38

I've ordered 3 pairs. As it happens I DO get contact lens by post from them....hopefully that means I qualify for at least 1 pair....not that they actually told me about the offer..

Eddas · 28/11/2008 12:38

but if you type in the web address and click on offers the prices are still showing at £1(i only checked quickly)

I'm sure they will not be delivered though. Shame!

DeckHallsWithFIMBOughsofHolly · 28/11/2008 12:38

I hope you don't get debited for the full amount, as If they can make a mess of their website. Well...

Pinkchampagne · 28/11/2008 12:40

Yes that is a big worry!

JamieAndHerMagicTorch · 28/11/2008 12:40

I rang because while it seems like a great bargain, I wanted to make sure I didn't get stung for anything. And I'm pretty sure that I won't have been the only person to ring and check - even before this thread went up I bet they had lots of people call to make sure they weren't being ripped off.

theirmum · 28/11/2008 12:41

Deck if you read the ts&cs they have to contact us if there is a price change and ask if we would still likke to go ahead so they are not just going to charge us huge random amounts!

DeckHallsWithFIMBOughsofHolly · 28/11/2008 12:42

Well lets hope so (maybe I am too cautious)

TRACEY6101 · 28/11/2008 13:22

if you click back on the link it now says special offer for contact lenses, when i got mine it didnt say that! they are making changes now so it was a mistake on their part!

MaryBS · 28/11/2008 13:37

They've changed the prices now as well...

theirmum · 28/11/2008 13:52

just checked all the prices have now changed! doubt they will send them out but worth a go

LilRedWG · 28/11/2008 13:54

Ah well, was worth a try.

MaryBS · 28/11/2008 14:08

At least if they DO send them AND charge the higher price, its free postage to return them...

EnchantedwithEdwardCullen · 28/11/2008 15:05

Hmmm... I doubt they will be sent not the prices ahve gone up to £70ish.

Will probably take weeks to get money back too

EnchantedwithEdwardCullen · 28/11/2008 15:06

The ca't charge the higher price though can they??

If I got to the checkout and it said £5 and allowed my card to be charged £5 how can they change the amount?

Surely thats my permission for £5 and no more to be taken?

EnchantedwithEdwardCullen · 28/11/2008 15:06

Though I understand they can refuse to send them and refund!

eandh · 28/11/2008 15:16

I dont think they can take more than what was on your 'checkout' page as you havent authorised it, however, they can conatact you to tell you if tehre has been an error and then you confirm whether you wish to pay an alternative price or cancel the order

TRACEY6101 · 28/11/2008 15:20

they can only take what you paid for at the checkout, they have to confirm any price changes, so if they send them you should still only pay the £1!! if not they will be in trouble. they should honur their mistake i think

lisad123 · 28/11/2008 16:06

well mine said it would be sent today, so hopefully packed up before they noticed i hate it when people ring, least they might not have noticed if just online

hope i get atleast one pair
