Just hope they've recovered from you lot by the time we go on the 11th!

I only upgraded because they didn't have any budget ones left for weekends, but if I could have gone in the week I'd have been fine with budget.

LookattheLottie · 17/05/2008 11:58

I got through, but they only had early June left which was no good for us as everyone's still at work/school. Never mind

bubblerock · 17/05/2008 12:18

Has anyone actually been to Pontins before? Just wondered what it was like.

ScoobyDoo · 17/05/2008 12:21

No, never stayed there but when i was 16 i lived nr the camber sands one & worked there cleaning the chalets there & we used to climb the gate at night & go drinking there

Kids love them, lots of entertainment for children & things to do, accomodation is pretty basic as far as i remember.

ScoobyDoo · 17/05/2008 12:22

Actually my friend went there last yr & she said she did not like it much but the kids loved it & she was happy she had taken them.

bubblerock · 17/05/2008 12:26

Great, as long as the kids are happy and I can get a glass of wine - easily pleased!

OP posts:
ScoobyDoo · 17/05/2008 12:28

Yes same here BR, the kids will be more than happy & your wine is never far away at a potins

Nbg · 17/05/2008 12:28

Dh and I did Butlins 3 years ago.

It was hell on earth to put it lightly but kids absolutely love it.

Flower3554 · 17/05/2008 12:29

Just realised the dates we've won are no good to us.

Anyone want a freebie???

Dates are 16th June, Monday to Friday at Southport

summersun06 · 17/05/2008 12:34

Iv just rang up and gave first code she said got none left so i gave her second code and she said in a sharpe loud tone "WHERE ARE YOU GETTING THESE FROM" lol I said from the paper on thursday..I was thinking dont ask me what paper lol

Anyway all they have left is Mon-Fri in Southport which is to far for me (I dont have a car) but if you are quick you might still get one!

We did this out of the paper nearly 2 years ago,I'm sure it was because it wa in February,so it was cold and wet! but we found the Budget accomodation very basic, which once we'd paid for the linen etc. we couldnt really have expected more. The "bed" was a fold up settee in the lounge, and all the springs had gone so it was very uncomfortable, the kids room was fine though. We were freezing so had to pile loads of blankets on the bed as well as clothes. We have a DS,then aged 10 and DD1 then aged 18mths.We didnt find much to do,except swim,my son went on Quad bikes, and we used the swimming pool and swingpark. The evenings were ok,but depends what your children are like, whether they can sleep in the buggy,or stay up and not be irritable. We said we would have to upgrade if we went again as we had bad backs the whole time we was there. We went to Norfolk, perhaps the others are better, and in the summer mths should be warmer.

lisad123 · 17/05/2008 13:01

I just got one!!! Ungraded for £40 as they didnt have any basic ones left for weekends thanks mn

bonkerz · 17/05/2008 13:34
