I remember reading a thread this time last year about this but my searches have proved fruitless.

About 7 or 8 of us mums will be clubbing together. Last year we bought M&S vouchers and a bunch of flowers.

What would you most like to receive from your pupils and their parents?

TIA

Yes I knew that

meandmyflyingmachine · 03/07/2007 19:08

Rude?!

handlemecarefully · 03/07/2007 19:09

Yes it came across as sarcastic. Perhaps that wasn't your intention?

Blandmum · 03/07/2007 19:09

Lush? Rude? Huh????

meandmyflyingmachine · 03/07/2007 19:10

Sorry. I think we're at cross purposes. I don't know if any other shops stock Lush products. I don't know if you can get them online.

I was saying that Lush stock Lush bathbombs.

Apologies if that seemed rude.

handlemecarefully · 03/07/2007 19:11

I was wondering if any other store other than Lush sold the bathbombs, since there isn't a Lush store local to me. I probably didn't explain myself very well, and the lack of capitalisation didn't help

meandmyflyingmachine · 03/07/2007 19:11

I wondered if you thought it was a brand name rather than a shop.

I stand corrected

handlemecarefully · 03/07/2007 19:11

's okay. I'm sorry for being touchy

Clearly a misunderstanding, lol

meandmyflyingmachine · 03/07/2007 19:11

I think we need to stop cross posting

Blandmum · 03/07/2007 19:11

They are very stongly perfumed, and not everyone likes them. Persnally I love them.

You can only buy Lush stuff from Lush shops, I'm pretty sure.

Posts crossed!

meandmyflyingmachine · 03/07/2007 19:14

LOL

muppetgirl · 03/07/2007 19:16

Have to say the best pressies I ever got were the ones where you could tell they were really from the children
-a windscreen ice scraper (probably £0.99 -£1.99?) after a lesson on writing winter poems where I told the class I use a cd case to scrape my windscreen
-a piggybank decorated with 'narrowboat' art as I used to live on a narrowboat which the ch knew.
Even a card with something that the teacher is interested in is really apreciated

...and also shows the buggers did actually listen!

arizona · 03/07/2007 19:18

Or a lovely bunch of lilies (supermarket fine)

Ladymuck · 03/07/2007 19:28

DH has has suggested a book of Van Gogh paintings - the class has had a display of painted sunflowers with reference to "Van Gough" this term which has grated slightly.

Not going to risk it as I have another child starting who will no doubt have the same teacher.

pyjamaqueen · 03/07/2007 19:35

Last year my class painted a plate at one of those pottery painting places - there was a picture of me in the middle and all their names around the edge. It's lovely.

(Bottles of wine always nice too.)

Personally not keen on toiletries as I'm too sensitive for most of them.
