@Funkycats 🙄🙄 Since when did preparing & making sensible decisions get referred to as panicking?! There’s been a ‘thought shift’ in this country & I don’t like it. Thank fuck people were more sensible during WWII or mist if us wouldn’t be here. This govt would have denied it was happening and bomb shelters wouldn’t have been built until you had a bomb land within 10ft of your house 🙄😖
@bodgeitandscarper I am only soaking the hand towels (and I bought a very distinctive set of tea towels to use as hand towels) as they’re easier to soak and dry)
Yes,there’s a lot to consider, that’s for sure. It’s so easy to try to do the right thing then re contaminate a surface straight away.
I’m pretty anal about kitchen & bathroom hygiene anyway, but this has my head done in already. Every time I think I have it nailed I see another source of contamination 😱
I’m not sure some things are going to survive months of this treatment - especially things like my car key fob 😫 Luckily as I’m still renovating there are a few things that are going to be replaced anyway so I’m not fussed how they react to the constant Dettol spraying (front door latches, taps etc)
@Mrsemcgregor. I think most of the ’Specialists’ I consider knowledgable/sensible seem to think regular washing should kill it. But they haven’t been able to do much testing as they’re not being given much of the virus to test/try to kill. Understandably it’s been going for testing of vaccines etc. (I don’t totally understand, one would assume there was more than enough to go around by now) but that’s my layman’s understanding from what one science bloke said on LBC.
Being in & out all day changing when we (especially I) come home isn’t practical, so I’m just keeping all outside clothes out of the bedrooms, wiping down hard chairs and using the Dettol all-in -one o the soft furnishings & car seats/hand bag etc.
Though it’s going to wear thin if we have to keep this up for months 😖
