There is a definate theme running through. can see which names you like, why not stick with them?

PeachyClair · 23/07/2005 14:25

love Olivia Grace, know a very lovely girl by that name, don't like Dionne (that was the name of the local shoplifetr when I was a kid ! Funny how things stick with you), Isobel is nice, mary megan is fine- what's the problem with it, unless your surname is Morgan- Maycee Grace is a bit derivative. Boys love Elliott Thomas, or Elliott full stop, not sure about Judias.

Gosh, hope you don't mind- you did ask!

Twiglett · 23/07/2005 14:26

I like Mary Megan actually

ok, deep breath

don't like

Dionne (makes me think of Dionne warwick)
Jordannah (sounds a little Chav to me)
Maycee (same as Jordannah)

Not Jonah .. please not Jonah .. it has really really bad connotations .. look it up in a thesaurus

Cristina7 · 23/07/2005 14:28

I like:
Olivia Grace
Annabell Grace
Jasmine
Poppy
Eva Grace

Elliot Thomas
Thomas Elliot

snafu · 23/07/2005 14:30

My faves are:
Olivia Grace
Isobelle Grace (although I would spell it either Isabelle or Isobel)
Eva Grace

Thomas Elliot
Jacob Thomas
Isaac Thomas

Cadmum · 23/07/2005 14:30

Olivia Grace

and

Thomas Elliott

Guess I need to think about names myself at some stage as it was a nightmare agreeing for #3...

My DD would vote for Joshua Elliot as that is what she chose for DS2...

LollipopSweetiePie · 23/07/2005 14:31

No course I dont mind! Such opinions is what will make the child a happy one and not an embarrarassed one in the playground because mummy chose a wankerish name!

snafu · 23/07/2005 14:34

Oh, hapless, bless. I quite like Jonah as a name but it does always make me think of whales.

LollipopSweetiePie · 23/07/2005 14:36

Ladymuck · 23/07/2005 14:37

For boys in particulr I would check what the initials will look like (no idea of your surname, so that's down to you). But would generally avoid ET or IT!

madmarchhare · 23/07/2005 14:39

I like Jonah and Poppy the bestest .

LollipopSweetiePie · 23/07/2005 14:39

I love the name Saul too!!! Forgot to put that down. There was a Saul at nursery I used to work at. He was the most docile, sweet little boy you could ever meet. You could just eat him all up, and so I liked that name ever since! I really like biblical names. I like Jorge too (pronounced hor-hay)

Hmm, possibly! Character building though?

You can always break it up, which is what we did with Harold (HP!!), he is now Harold Jarvis Griffith Peach- bit long but some silly reasons for it all (Harol = Grandad Griffiths = Mum's maiden name, Jarvis = Jarvis Cocker, tee hee).

Elliott Samuel Thomas? Elliott Isaac Thomas?

Janh · 23/07/2005 14:47

Elliot in ET was played by Henry Thomas...
