It's gone all distorted - like chunks are missing but not spots in it's place - like reading a letter it looked like someone has split water all over it. Hard to type - any ideas? Is this a pregnancy thing? My vision went very funny one evening last pregnancy but MW I called said it was a optician thing. Been doing nothing viosony today ie. only 5 mins on PC earlier and no tv.

lemonade hope you're ok and glad you've finally been seen by someone. I cannot fathom why you were referred to an optician rather than being whipped straight into hospital, with raised BP and a visual disturbance! What you described is exactly like the visual migraines that I get (both before and during pregnancy) - the zigzags, the circular blind spot, the hard-to-describe thing of vision being not quite right. When I had 2 in a week at 16 weeks and high BP and a trace of protein, my midwife sent me straight to A&E. If it happens again then I really hope you get taken seriously and that it gets properly checked out.

This thread is 2 years old. The OP should have a boisterous toddler by now"

Good spot! For some reason I looked at the times but not the dates.

It's annoying when you don't get to find out the ending of the story though :o

That's high for you but not dangerously high. Could be creeping up though. How many weeks are you? Any swelling of your hands/feet/face, frontal headaches or worse heartburn than normal?

SoYo · 08/09/2012 20:40

Ah I missed tht too! Oops!

I had this last week and ended up being hospitalised for the night cos of high blood pressure. Mrs daisaiku - you should defintely get it checked out if it happens again
