No movements since lunchtime yesterday, have phoned midwife and left message.

There is an ante-natal clinic this afternoon, do i go if no call from mw?!

Really quite scared..... btw, 25+5 weeks

I would go, just to put my mind at rest.

Hope everything is o.k

moozoboozo · 13/07/2005 12:03

Yes, GO!!! Put your mind at rest. The same happened to me and everything was fine, btw.

I'm sure everything will be fine.

jessicaandbumpsmummy · 13/07/2005 12:04

Clinic doesnt start til 2pm..... 2 hours of waiting......

I assume you've tried prodding and poking?

My first thought is that babe is still quite little and maybe you are missing the movements whilst dealing with Jess etc and DH on crutches.

If you are really worried then call the midwives at the hospital and definitely go to the clinic where they should be able to put your mind at rest.

Thinking of you!

jessicaandbumpsmummy · 13/07/2005 12:04

ML - ive tried everything!!!

This happened to me and all was well, much better to go and put your mind at rest rather than worrying
I'm sure all will be well

Distel · 13/07/2005 12:05

Go early (not this early though!) make sure that you are first in line.

Meanwhile - you have us to keep you company

Lonelymum · 13/07/2005 12:06

Have you tried "bullying" the baby into moving JABM? I was the world's expert at that! Lie down on your bed, breathe very deeply and balance a big heavy book on your stomach - that usually gets them going! Or try a relaxing bath. Or just a general poke about might get a response. Try not to panic. It always seemed to me that it was when I was relaxed that the baby was most active.

If you can't get any movement and the MW doesn't ring back, then yes go to the clinic, or ring the hospital.

Good luck!

MarsLady · 13/07/2005 12:06

Go to the clinic babe. I don't think that much can change between now and then (apart, I hope, from a lot of kicking).

Sort Jessie's lunch, pack snacks for the trip to the clinic. Eat lunch, have a cool drink and tidy one of Jess' drawers. The two hours should pass in a flash!

jessicaandbumpsmummy · 13/07/2005 12:08

Jess is sleeping at the moment, so will make her lunch ready for when she wakes up.

Have i possibly overdone it?! Feel shattered, and a slight pain in my right side. God, im getting myself so worked up..... gonna sit and have a cry and tell myself the worst.

You sound tired and like you have been overdoing it. Perhaps that is why the baby is quiet too. I bet it was going away like the clappers last night when you were asleep. Take it easy now. It is so unlikely there is anything wrong. You need reassurance though

jessicaandbumpsmummy · 13/07/2005 12:28

Getting really stressed now..... WHY WONT MW CALL BACK??????

OP posts:
WigWamBam · 13/07/2005 12:29

Do you have an ante-natal day unit at the hospital that you could call? They might ask you to come straight in.

bundle · 13/07/2005 12:29

have you got the hospital number? ring the labour ward they will have a bleep for whoever is on duty.

jessicaandbumpsmummy · 13/07/2005 12:29

i dont know wwb.... all ive got is the number for the community midwife group i use or the labour ward.

still an hour and a half til clinic.........

OP posts:
Lonelymum · 13/07/2005 12:30

Ring the hospital general number and ask to be put through to the ante natal ward.

Flamesparrow · 13/07/2005 12:31

Call the labour ward number. They are normally very nice.

jessicaandbumpsmummy · 13/07/2005 12:33

but if i phone the hospital, they will make me go in, which means getting dh out of work to watch jess. God why do these things always happen to me?!

OP posts:
moozoboozo · 13/07/2005 12:34

Surely its worth it for your peace of mind chick.

WigWamBam · 13/07/2005 12:36

Ring the labour ward. If you don't ring then you're going to worry yourself sick.

jessicaandbumpsmummy · 13/07/2005 12:42

just called mw again..... my mw is off duty today, so one of her relief ones are going to call me
