Jabm - have a big drink of orange squash, then lie down for half an hour on your left side - this sometimes gets them moving - combination of a bit of sugar, and more blood getting to them.

Hope you get some really good hard kicks soon!

Awww - how scary for you. I went through this last week (28 weeks) - ended up speaking to the labour ward (was 6 in the morning - too worried to wait!), who admitted me for monitoring - after a few agonising seconds (felt like hours!) they found a heartbeat. then the little b*gger started kicking away again.

i was very tired and stressed, and it does seem to me that bambino goes quiet when i'm low on energy.

good luck with the m/w - hopefully they'll be able to come and see you.

And remember that at 25 weeks, the baby is still quite little, so it's proabably just got itself curled up nicely and is enjoying a nice sleep, unaware that his/her mummy is worrying herself sick!!

jessicaandbumpsmummy · 13/07/2005 12:52

MW just called. Will be here in half hour..... jeez..... im scared.

Really hope everything's OK - I had the same experience yesterday, baby hadn't kicked for about 12 hours (I'm 29 weeks), went in for a scan and everything was absolutely fine, she was just in a position where I couldn't feel the kicking. I completely understand how dreadful you must be feeling, I was shaking sitting in the waiting room for the scan, but please don't assume the worst.

RTKangaMummy · 13/07/2005 13:16

Sending you hugs and positve vibes and loads of love {{{{{{{{{{{}}}}}}}}}}} and +++++++++++++++ and xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

She should be with you really soon

bundle · 13/07/2005 13:17

sweetie, she'll be with you soon, hang on in there, xxxxx

shrub · 13/07/2005 13:18

while your waiting for mw maybe give your bump a massage - nice round clockwise circles just to soothe you and baby.
big hugsxxxx

cat82 · 13/07/2005 13:21

Oh honey i know it's hard. I remember how anxious i was, if dd hadn't moved for 5 hours i had to lay down and tickle my tummy to make her move.

It's scary but i'm sure everything will be okay. The midwife will be with you soon.

MrsGordonRamsay · 13/07/2005 13:22

JABM

When ever I overdid it DS protested by sleeping lots the next day, the first time he did it I went straight over to the delivery ward via my doc and everything was fine.

But became very aware after it, that if I was tired then he was going to be tired.

Hoping and praying for you.

munz · 13/07/2005 13:24

jm - get DH to come home firstly, secondly try not to panic too much you don't know what the m/w will say. I'm sure everything will be fine.

let us know how u go, i'm assuming she's there now.

Nbg · 13/07/2005 13:24

I'm sure everything will be fine.
Don't worry, take some deep breaths and try to relax.

Like shrub says give your bump a massage.

Flamesparrow · 13/07/2005 13:25

Still thinking ofyou.
