Hi, I am a first-timer Mum to Be and Baby has been given a due date of 1 October. Very early dates still, so nervous and excited I cannot think about anything else! Planning not to tell family and friends till the first three months are over, but it's going to be tough!
Anyone else expecting an October baby out there?

Hermya321 · 03/03/2010 19:53

Good luck PFJ I hope things go well for you tomorrow. Thanks re the boobs!!

SilverSky · 03/03/2010 20:44

Hello ladies.

Not been on this thread for awhile, not read all of it, but anyhoo's here is my update.

Went to the quacks last Friday and she was really lovely and was so very excited for me, which was nice as I was expecting it to be all matter of fact and clinical and she was well really nice. I nearly cried.

So my EDD is 21/22 October, which is good as nobody elses birthday is around that, well not for a good three weeks either side of that so that is good. Don't see why I am paranoid about that, am sure other people wouldn't be.

So I am 7 weeks, almost 8. Well 8 tomorrow. Not told work yet. My bust must have been sleeping in a grow bag as its just exploded overnight. Husband is very happy, though he would be happier if I let him get his hands on them.

Felt pukey and horrid last week. Managed to eat my way through it. Started taking pregnancy vitamins on Sunday and oddly enough sickness has sort of gone. Still feel bit ick if don't eat enough. MAN AM I EATING. Scary. If I don't eat often enough, I tell you, don't get in my way as you're likely to be eaten alive!!!

Can no longer sleep through the night, as need to pee at least once.

Not got any more cramps but still have a feeling in my gut/tum, cant explain it.

Right that's enough of my warbling!

Hope to have time to catch up on the thread....... that's if I can stay awake long enough.

CONGRATS TO ALL NEWLY BFP's.

Lots of good wishes to those who are having not the best of times.

Hermya321 · 03/03/2010 20:50

silver Nice to see you again, glad your pregnancy is going well.

Can I add ow heartburn!!!

DillyDora · 03/03/2010 20:57

Hey Lovelies,

Thanks Hermya and PFJ for the support. Maybe I will try to chill a bit more.

Hermya sorry about that boob thing - ouch!! And heartburn - sooo grim. Have you tried sleeping a little bit propped up (as well as just mainlining gaviscon)?

Hi Silver (but not 'hi ho silver!!!' hee hee)

I've got the same edd as you but thought I was 7 weeks tomorrow...If I count back 40 weeks from 21st it works out. Mind you, numbers are not my strong suit. I'd love to be a week further on and closer to the magic 12.

Oops, busted by DH better go and be lovely wifey!
have a good evening all

Is anyone else absolutely exhausted? I went to bed at 8.30 (yes, that's right, 8.30pm) and slept for a full 12 hours. But, when I finally managed to drag myself out of bed, I was still tired. It's going to be a long nine weeks!

ellabella2 · 04/03/2010 12:41

MartinMummy I know what you mean about feeling exhausted. It is my main symptom at the moment. My queasiness has eased off the last few days, as long as I eat regularly. Still off a lot of foods and food smells though. Have also been having a few little 'growing pains' again; feeling much more relaxed about that now though. Also the lack of nausea is not really worrying me. Still have tender boobies and they have also grown a bit too. I'm hannging out to buy any maternity ones yet though.

As a veteran of 8+4 pregnant I seem to finally be cultivating a more relaxed attitude to the whole symptoms thing.

Had my check in with midwife the other day too. Really lovely lady, who it seems I will see for all my appointments through pregnancy . She works flexi hours and has arranged to do a home visit on a Sunday to do my 'booking in' appointment . I feel very luck indeed that there seems to be such an excellent midwife service where I live.

AllieW · 04/03/2010 14:28

SilverSky I think about possible clashes with others' birthdays too! Due 30th October and that could mean a clash with either my Nan-in-Law, my sister, my sister-in-law, my best friend or another friend. One way in the other one of those is quite likely!

MartinMummy I'm quite tired too plus almost constantly lightheaded which isn't great with a 2 year-old in tow!

In other news the bleed I had the other day has not recurred and I'm getting more symptoms. I've started with retching much earlier this time round than last - I'm not yet 6 weeks and it began around 8 1/2 wks last time.

Hermya321 · 04/03/2010 15:22

Martini Yeah I'm there with you on the tiredness, it's not great is it.

ellabella Wow you're midwife comes to your home, thats brilliant. How good is that!!

My LO if s/he comes early will clash with my brothers birthday which makes me feel a bit odd to think that my Mum conceived my bro at the same time of year that I've managed to get caught with this one. Hmmmm.

ThePFJ · 04/03/2010 15:26

Hi everyone,

Looks like its GAME OVER for me, will get the official result at 6 o'clock but the specialist doesn't think theres hope. Bled again today while at the hospital waiting to be seen.

According to the specialist, it's the whole 'according to my first day of my last period - I should be 6 weeks pregnant, and there wasn't anything on the scan' thing. They said that might be because I could be only 4 weeks pg but it doesnt really work like that....

Bugger bugger bugger.

The biggest shame of it all is that I was really getting to know and like you lovely ladies. Obviously I can't really post anymore, not really good for my mental health!!

QuestionsAnswered - am still thinking of you.

So unless I come on at 7pm tonight screaming happy at you lot, here's my piece:

Good luck, and please please enjoy yourselves and always be positive. I know you'll look after eachother and play nicely!
There is always time for me to try again, and if I should fall pg before you lot 'drop' then I'll come tell you all

Huge massive mini-egg filled hugs to EVERY ONE OF YOU.

xxx

Hermya321 · 04/03/2010 15:28

PFG I'm so sorry to hear that, I was so hoping that everything would work out for you. I hope things aren't too tough for you. Take it easy and be gentle on yourself. Let us know how you get on. Hugs!!!

littleredcorvette28 · 04/03/2010 15:58

hello ladies, I have just found out I am pregnant- 6/7 weeks, due in Oct. Haven't told anyone yet and really want to. I had a v v early miscarriage in Oct and so am cautious.,

feeling pretty dodgy though; fatigue, sore boobs. I have a fat belly already though!!! and am feeling nauseous in the afternoon and early hours. Anyone else?

AllieW · 04/03/2010 16:00

PFG really really sorry to hear that.

nomorewine · 04/03/2010 16:01

Oh so sorry to hear that, PFG.Thinking of you. x

ellabella2 · 04/03/2010 16:25

PFG oh I'm so sorry. Please take great care of yourself and really really hope that we hear from you again some time soon xxx

Hermya321 · 04/03/2010 17:41

Welcome to the thread Litteredcorvette!!

AllieW · 04/03/2010 18:13

Hi littleredcorvette - I've got a podge already too!

xMrsBx · 04/03/2010 21:36

Hi ladies, firstly very sorry to hear your sad news PFG

I'm new to this site and have just found out I'm almost 7 weeks pregnant. Due 25/10/10 and very excited.

After spotting since last Thursday, lasting til Monday, I was lucky enough to get an early scan today. My little bean is 6mm with a heartbeat and it was so amazing to see it on screen, even if it did look like a little blob!

I've been feeling really sick and the only thing which seems to stop it is eating. I've got a jelly belly already but I guess I'd better get used to it! Apart from that and the constant tiredness, things are pretty hunky dory. How's everyone else doing?

DillyDora · 05/03/2010 09:57

O PFG I'm so so sorry! I'll really miss you, you've been such a love. God, I'm sorry. Hang on in there.

Hi to littlered and xMrsBx Yeah I'm on the 'feelsickeatfeelsick' treadmill too and my lovely flat tummy has gone smooshy which I thought must just be bloat as it can't be baby!

Have a great day everyone, hope the sun is shining where you are.
xx

Hermya321 · 05/03/2010 10:44

Hey girly girls! I heard on the other thread that PFG was taken into hospital last night because she was in so much pain. Just thought I would let you guys know.

DillyDora · 05/03/2010 10:48

Hey Hermya yeah I was lurking and saw that. I really hope she's ok. This is the only slightly rubbish element of being all online...it's not like we can visit her or take her a bunch of flowers, is it?

SilverSky · 05/03/2010 20:51

oh no! If anyone has any news on the lovely PFG please post.

I havent eaten enough today or drunk enough. Work been manic.

Last night went to bed at 930 and didnt get up to pee til nearly 6am. Woo hoo!

My mw is visiting me at home too. Hope she likes dogs!

nomorewine · 05/03/2010 21:37

Oh poor PFG. Hope she's ok.

I have felt pretty pants today. Felt that horrible kind of hungover exhaustion all day, despite getting a lie in this morning.
Didn't know what I fancied & couldn't bear the thought of cooking anything (smells are getting to me atm) so have settled for cheese & crackers!

Hermya321 · 05/03/2010 22:58

Normorewine Cheese and crackers are a godsend, I love them.

Silver Take care of yourself me dear.

Dilly I know, I wonder where she is. It would be nice to be able to send her flowers just to say we're thinking of her. I haven't heard anything else though sorry.

Has anyone else had their booking appointment? I had mine today, they filled in my notes with me and went through the tests with me. It sort of made my head spin a little bit, but it doesn't take much to do that to be honest.

I hope you all are well!!
