Private ultrasound scans - Scotland

Hi folks,

Anyone gone private for an early scan? you can't get an early reassurance scan in my area but there is a company - healthcarenow ltd in Edinburgh - that offer early scans from 7-11 weeks for £55.

Anyone been for something similar or know of another route?

I am also having HcG levels done next week but I would like the reassurance of an early scan since I m/c at 8.5 weeks (discovered at 11wks) last time.

hello everyone!!!
I'm back minus my big bump but with a beautiful baby boy!!! went into hosp last thur morning with contractions, nothing by 6pm so had waters broken bayby was back to back and not progressing still only 4cm at 1am friday so had c section all that labour and pain then a section!!! baby arran born at 2.04am on friday 20th oct weighing 8lb 14oz 55cm long, and hes perfect!!!! got home last nite, so weird! he is a very contented lovely baby.
hope you are all well, were your family realy pleased weeonin? bet it was great to be home. what have you bought for baby now?

thank you! yes i am well not sore at all scar and tummy were painfull the first few days but now i dont feel anything! still have to be careful and not lift anything heavy, or drive!! dont know how i'l cope with that. anjio1 is this your first baby? do you know what your having? are you keeping well?

It's my first yes,and no I don't know what I'm having ,decided to leave it as a surprise!
not been too bad ,(the chucking has lasted far longer than the 12 weeks everyone kept promising )

Hiya all, think I might beat you to it am due on 23rd december, but know this wriiggly wee man is going to wait till christmas day to make his big entrance!!
vio, the nuffield is aprivate hospitla, so you will get a proper medical scan with all the checks etc from qualified staff, the one in George square is more an entertainment pace for 3d, 4d scans, sexing the baby, and dvds and stuff, The £75 was at babybond in Edinburgh that was a basic 2d scan to find out blue or pink,
Any way hope every ones well, am having horrible branston hicks today xxx

this seems to be the babybond place - a fair bit cheaper that nuffield but for me - more difficult to get to..

Hi all, yeah i Know we started early, had ourmy 1st at 19, but this is our last and hubby and I decided to have them all together so by the time we're in our 40's their all growed up!!Lol ,

I can't wait till Dec cos i would have received all the blood test result and would have done my 2nd scan by then...hope everything goes well and i will have a very very happy Christmas!!

also had a thought on a catch up of where we all are and hospitals????

Hi, I would like to join the gathering but my concern is that i don't know Glasgow too well, I can take a train to Glasgow city centre but I don't think i know where Glasgow Fort is.

vio - i have never been to glasgow fort either!!! - it is on the outskirts of glasgow - just off the M8 heading to edinburgh.why dont you join the main april thread?

scan was lovely. Too tired to worry about anyone stealing my thunder!!! Little eyes keep closing. Glasgow Fort is off the M8 near easter house - and I promise you ladies once you have been you will rarely venture into Glasgow again!!!

Vio are you in stepps? If so its only a few minutes away from you - just off junction 10 of the m8

yes, i am in stepps, if its only a few mins away from where i am then i suppose its good.

Sorry, really don;t know much about Glasgow,...I am terrible at directions ( think i might need a Tom Tom).
