Earliest Symptoms?

Im TTC#1 and wondered how early any symptoms can kick in, ive been told they start around 4 weeks but is it poss for them to start earlier than that?

I'm too scared, its not what I planned, and my husband will go spare, as he's been talking about having the snip recently and then this happens. I just feel like pushing it to one side and avoiding the issue, but its hard when you feel so horrible!

Well its def something you cant ignore and hope it goes away. You really do need to do a test to know for def. If its neg then you dont even have to mention it to your husband but if its pos yes he might go spare but he will calm down and you will need him to be on your side for support for whatever you choose to do.

Thanks Tishtosh, I know your right. I'm sat here on mumsnet feeling sick with worry, on top of that I've been up all night with a chesty cough so feel absolutely Knackered. I know I'm going to have to do a test for sure, regardless of whether I'm going to tell DH, as I'm on daily medication which I stopped taking yesterday just incase I am.

Just took a test and its a BFN thank goodness! Still feel crap, and very confused the fact that i'm 4 days late (i always have a 28 day cycle, and that I've had very obvious period cramps but no blood loss! What do you think, am I imagining things?

Well at least thats something jphc at least now thats one thing less to worry about. It sounds like your quite stressed out and also not feeling well doesnt help, its normal to have a late period, it doesnt always mean your preg. Id put it down to tiredness, stress and illness.
The fact that your 4 days late would, i think, def show up in a HPT so i would rule that out, although if your still not too sure and your period doesnt come in the next week i would test again just to be 100% sure.

Hi rouquine Im feeling a little better thanks def preparing myself for my ov days to come! my DP wont know whats hit him. One question though, ive been reading on other posts and people say not to have sex every day unless theres something up with his sperm count....any thoughts on that??

As far as I know Tishtosh, There are many variations to figuring your ovulation days depending on your cycle length, but most come up with the same following method.
Begin with the first day of your bleeding period,Count 10 days including the first.then start having sex on the 10th day,12th,14th, 16th,18th,22th and 24th.Usually a woman, who has a 28-day cycle, will ovulate around the 14th day, they say the peak day is either the 14th or the 15th.
so it would be defenitely necessary to have sex from day 10 to day 24.

hehehehehhe, that's funny Tish! my nausea has started since three days!from the time I get up to the time I go to bed, I have this terrible sensation It isn't handleable at all!I wish I could get rid of it! but I haven't vomited yet!My sister used to burp up everytime she ate...

oh that must be awful, i bet you sometimes wish you could be sick just to get rid of the feeling.
Im really hoping this is the month, its 11 days since first day of AF now, have been copulating like rabbits!!

hi rouquine, yeah i think ive calculated that my period is due either tues or wed depending if its still a 29 day cycle or its now 28, but think i will wait until thurs just to be on the safe side, dont want a repeat of last month where i tested the day before my period came.

How are things going with you? has the sickness subsided yet? x

hey, things are hopefully better, have tried all kind of methods that help diminishing the constant nausea I've been having for almost 5 weeks! ginger helped a lot, and snacking on bananas as well... all drugs haven't worked for the nausea thing but for the vomiting...
I used to burp a lot, not anymore
can't wait to be at 12 weeks and feel that all these symptoms have finally disappeared!

None of my symptoms appeared until I actually took pregnancy tests (then I got the lot - nausea, giddiness, sore boobs etc!)

I must have been about 6 weeks with each pg when I took the tests - up until then - apart from the non-appearance of AF - all I had was a 'feeling' that something wasn't quite right.

That said, symptoms will differ from person to person. All the very best to you though! Hope you get your + soon.

Im testing tomorrow those who are interested. Im on day 34 so a little late but not still impossible for period to come.

i'm another newbie! My period is currently 13 days late. i've done numerous tests all BFN. had a bundle of symptoms (mainly breast tenderness and darker more prominent nipples! headaches, tiredness, heartburn etc)
(My other thread was 12days late...any advice?)

I am normally every 29 days. but this time 13 days late! (no protection used as i came off the pill 3 months ago due to migraines)

got a docs appt on wed to do a urine test, send it to the lab , and if BFN, blod test - eeek

My friends had different experiences. one had BFN until she was 4 months preg!!
