Earliest Symptoms?

Im TTC#1 and wondered how early any symptoms can kick in, ive been told they start around 4 weeks but is it poss for them to start earlier than that?

Oh and I conceived immediately after coming off the pill, I didn't even have a period. So I see your concern about being a few weeks off the pill. Doc told me I was a bit of a rareity to conceive instantly. It can take months for your system to sort itself

Yeah thats what i thought but its just the fact that i havent had a period yet at all. I thought you could get pg straight away cos the hormones from the pill go away v quickly which is why u can get pg from just missing one pill.
I think ill just stick to if my period doesnt come in the next week im going to test, so it will be 4 weeks since coming off the pill.

If you've only been off 4weeks it's not too surprising you havent had a period yet. My sister didn't have a period for 3months after stopping the pill, a friend didn't get one for 5months, but then I got pregnant the minute I stopped taking the pill. We're all so different but I'm sending you lots of luck!

My first symptoms were at 3 weeks (v sensitive nipples - I screamed when water from the shower touched them!).

Ill be testing hopefully next Fri as thats my DPs birthday! Hopefully Ill hold out that long. When are you gonna test rouquine? x

Have decided i cant wait that long haha, was gonna do it today but decided was a little too early.
Im going to now test on Tues as that will be 28 days since coming off the pill so at least its some kind of landmark day. Obv will only test if AF hasnt come by then, really praying it wont now its getting nearer the time.

Actually, you can be at your most fertile when first coming off the pill.

With our first I was convinced any minute my period was coming - had tummy ache like normal period pain - and at 4 days late I did a test. He is now at school.

When can you test?

Well it will be 28 days on Tues so ill prob test then if no period.
Its hard knowing when my period is act due though after coming off the pill, so if its neg on Tues and no period by Fri ill test again.

Does anyone know if you can feel VERY hot when your preg?
I was in the car with just a vest top and jeans and felt my skin prickling as i was so hot, my DP didnt feel hot, wasnt sure if this is a sign??

Hi TishTosh, obviously i can only speak for myself but I think feeling hot may have been one of my first pg symptoms - I had no idea I was pg until I tested (following a few days of sickness and weird food aversions!) at 8 weeks, but do remember being roasting hot for no apparent reason prior to that - and ever since for that matter! It stood out because I'm normally the type who whines about being freezing all the time!

Wasnt sure if it was just me being strange. Im usually one to feel the cold as well!

How extremely annoying....

Did a test this morning and no control line appeared (clearblue plus test)

If no one is familiar with this test you get the window with your result in and a second window with the control line in telling you the test worked. Well i got no control line so obv test didnt work. Maybe not enough wee on the stick?
Just really annoyed it didnt work as i dont want to waste the tests.
Feeling a bit now grr!

If there was no control line, I'm afraid it's one for the bin. A pain to waste them I know =( But at least it wasnt a £12 digital one. Just try another one in the morning. Is your period late yet?

Well im not entirely sure when my period is due because of coming off the pill, im supposed to be waiting til Tues really cos that will be 28 days but i lost my self control!

Ive still got another test as it was a twin pack so will make myself wait til next week.
Am starting a new job on Mon so at least i can keep myself busy. Been at home all this week so cant stop thinking about it.

Im starting a temp job on Mon! At least if i am preg i wont have the awkward "im preg" talk with the boss lol.

My earliest symptoms were with DD1 (IVF baby) and they started around 9/10 post embryo transfer (so roughly 4 days pre period). My most obvious symptom is I start to burp!

That is quite early, do you think its because it was IVF? It might make a difference to the symptoms and how early you get them.
