ok, so got a bfp on thursday morning and Im shitting myself (not literally, obviously) theres no real reason for me to, i have no pains/backache/niggles the way i have done with ALL of my mc's. i feel sick and tired (god, how I love that feeling - every retch makes me smile) and my hair is glorious, tummy v bloated and glamour-girl breats (as when pg with ds) but i am aware that tomorrow I dont call the gp to arrange to see the mw, instead I call the clinic to arrange a scan. Im not allowed to lift a thing, in fact im surprised dh hasnt banned me from breathing tbh im so grateful to be up-duffed, especially since we have just been turned down for IVF and were on last cycle of clomid, but i feel a tiny bit bitter that i cant enjoy it and am unable to relax and/or start telling people.

i want to shriek "I'm pregnant (love typing that) I'm not barren, dont have shitty eggs" but i cant because we are so far from the end of the tunnel that the light is just a speck.

please god, let this one stick.

Difficult one to decide. Maybe, tell DH that if he gets atest then you will do it, but that you do not want to go out and get one yourself.

OracleInaCoracle · 07/09/2009 15:53

possibly, but (and i know how selfish this is) if something is going wrong i dont want to know, if i get a bfn then i will think the worst, when thats not necessarily the case iykwim.

LilRedWG · 07/09/2009 15:54

Talk to him then. I'm sure he will understand. x

LilRedWG · 07/09/2009 15:54

BTW - so not selfish!

Wheelybug · 07/09/2009 15:57

You are not going to be more or less pregnant if you test again, you are just putting yourself under more strain if for some silly reason you get a BFN.

If you don't want to test, then don't.

Good luck for the coming days/weeks.

PacificDogwood · 07/09/2009 16:27

I'm with MmeLindt: test again if you want, not for any other reason. Whether you test or not will not change the outcome, but will change your stress levels, so why go there?!

Lissie Congratulations i am sure i remember you for one of the Mc threads. Its such good news and i am praying for a sticky bean for you.

I know exactly how you feel as i am UTD again after 4 Mc, am 7 weeks now and under specialst care as have to have injections everyday, as i have a blood condition that is what has been making me mc. I am on full knicker checking alert at all times, this sounds so mad but when i wipe i realy do expect to see blood and everytime i dont its a bonus. Unlike you i am not smilimg when retching though as i am feeling sick constantly and i mean that in every sense of the word even when i wake up in the night i feel sick, however i know that it will all be worth it in the end.
Goodluck hon i realy hope this one stays for you.

PortBlacksandResident · 07/09/2009 16:47

I'm guessing it just seems more unreal to DH Lissie. No need to retest though - show him your new norks .

Don't overdo it...and stay positive.

Congrats lissie. Fingers crossed for you x

hazeyjane · 07/09/2009 19:43

I'm so pleased for you and your family Lissielou, I recognise you from miscarriage threads.

I was scanned constantly when I was pregnant with dd's due to family history and a complicated mc previously, and got to know the ultrasound people very well. Each scan felt like a little hurdle clambered over.

I hope everything goes well for you

OracleInaCoracle · 08/09/2009 08:08
