ok, so got a bfp on thursday morning and Im shitting myself (not literally, obviously) theres no real reason for me to, i have no pains/backache/niggles the way i have done with ALL of my mc's. i feel sick and tired (god, how I love that feeling - every retch makes me smile) and my hair is glorious, tummy v bloated and glamour-girl breats (as when pg with ds) but i am aware that tomorrow I dont call the gp to arrange to see the mw, instead I call the clinic to arrange a scan. Im not allowed to lift a thing, in fact im surprised dh hasnt banned me from breathing tbh im so grateful to be up-duffed, especially since we have just been turned down for IVF and were on last cycle of clomid, but i feel a tiny bit bitter that i cant enjoy it and am unable to relax and/or start telling people.

i want to shriek "I'm pregnant (love typing that) I'm not barren, dont have shitty eggs" but i cant because we are so far from the end of the tunnel that the light is just a speck.

please god, let this one stick.

Congratulations lissie!! Am in same boat, had MMC in May, am now 10 weeks 2 days, god knows how I have made it this far without going completely crazy......I have had 4 scans to date but my EPU is fantastic, once you have been referred by Doc you can self refer up to 14 weeks.....I am beginning to know all the ladies that work there!!!

Positive thoughts work wonders and like everyone on here keep saying take 1 day at a time and they all add up......

Fabulous News

well done both of you.

ReneRusso · 06/09/2009 19:17

great news, wishing you loads of good luck and sticky vibes

Thandeka · 06/09/2009 19:43

duct tape

superglue

araldite

no more nails

selotape

brown tape

blu tac

extra strength pritt stick

pva glue

and as many other sticky things that I can think of to make this one stick, oh and grow (so babybio is a must!)

Thandeka hastens to add- the above does not constitute medical advice and Lissie please don't start doing things with PVA glue/babybio and your bits because I don't think its a good idea- but just wanted you to know how much cyberstickiness is being sent your way.

Congratulations Mr and Mrs Lissie, I will keep everything crossed for you that this bean sticks!

And enjoy the laptop and cookies combo - sounds like heaven!

funtimewincies · 06/09/2009 19:57

Congratulations lissielou, I recognise your name from some of the mc discussions.

I just felt that this little one was more sticky but can't explain why and I hope that you get that feeling too. Backing up (reinforcing with double-stength superglue?) Thandeka's sticky vibes !

OracleInaCoracle · 06/09/2009 20:23

lololol dont worry the only thing going near my fanjo is the dildocam (ewwwww)

thank you all again, do have a feeling that this one might be stickier

Wow, congrats Lissielou , may the next few weeks be gloriously sick and tired!

I got a great piece of advice many moons ago from csws, wise old bird that she is...seems like an appropriate time to share!

"We can either be paranoid and miserable and wish our lives away for the next 8 weeks, which won't change the outcomes of our pregnancies, or we can be happy and celebrate that we are pregnant, and if the worst happens then we'll face it knowing that at least we had a few weeks of joy. Whaddya reckon - am I talking sense?"

All the very best x

OracleInaCoracle · 06/09/2009 20:28
