Morning everyone.

pwcbird I'm so happy for you! I have been keeping up with your FB entries - but almost didn't want to 'jinx' anything by asking if all was ok. so. I was just SO, so pleased when I saw your message saying "GULP!" I figured then that you'd gone and got there!!! He is beautiful and cor - you look in FABULOUS nick Well done you - love to chat with you again!

Oh dear - it's DP's birthday - no card finished etc - and now a cake to make plus going out with the girls....thank goodness he's at work and wants his goodies later on!!

It's really hot again so must get out and enjoy. Pop by later. Have a good day all

Tee2072 · 20/08/2009 08:51

Moaning all...

I am so tired. A was up every hour on the hour from about 2 to 6:30. Not needing anything, just lying in his Amby, gurgling and singing, opening his eyes, looking at me, then pop, back to sleep for another hour. I am wrecked.

I was suppose to go my office today to show him off, I think I may cancel, especially with the pouring rain.

pwcbird we've never met, but congratulations!

johnworf · 20/08/2009 10:35

'ello everyone, especially pwcbird ! Big fat hugs to you and your LO dear Like JJ said I didn't want to jinx you either but did keep up with your FB page and saw you with your mahoosive bump! Glad that Gabriel is doing fine. He's absolutely adorable. Hope you'll come back to us and have lots of moans, gossip and cake!

tee oh dear. Not a good night by the sounds of things. No doubt he'll make it up to your DH tonight by sleeping all the way through

floria think what the others said about local babysitter might be in order after the sounds of last night. Stressful indeed

hedgepig if he's got 3 teeth sitting waiting to pop through then you might get them all through in one go which saves a lot of crying/awake time. Do recommend the Nelsons teething granules though. Work like magic on K.

JJ better get your chefs hat on pronto Hope your OH has a good one.

I'm off to take DS#2 to college in an hour to pick up his A Level results. I know he's got his uni place as they've confirmed online already today. We think therefore that he's got the grades they were expecting; A,A,B. Mucho celebrations this weekend when he moves into his sister's place around the corner. He's working this week so won't be going out to do his celebrating. (extremely proud mummy emoticon)

Catch y'all laters.

duchesse · 20/08/2009 11:55

Very many congrats to pwcbird. So pleased for you.

Today, I will mostly be bouncing on the trampoline.

OP posts:
duchesse · 20/08/2009 11:57

jw does that mean that his university has already been notified of his results? Good luck to him anyway. My oldest is coming back from the States next week just in time to pick his GCSE results up. We're crossing everything!

Tee2072 · 20/08/2009 13:19

Afternoon all.

JW I'm back on duty tonight, I do two nights, then DH does one. And A's been asleep most of the day, so some how I think its going to be another bad night tonight. And the weather is HORRID!

Good luck to all the test takers today!!!

jeanjeannie · 20/08/2009 13:20

Oh wow jw You must be so puffed up and proud. Oh well done you - you do breed 'em good How fab x

duchesse keep bouncing - keep bouncing! Do keep your fingers crossed for your DS but don't keep yer legs crossed otherwise the LO will never come out

Card - done
Cake - on its way
Balloons - blown up
Bubble machine - full

Can I havea rest yet? Oh and I've played hostess to a mad, improptu gathering round here and now have hand prints (painted!) going all up the stair walls......whah!!!!

hedgepig · 20/08/2009 13:39

Well done JJ you are super mummy. Do you think you could make the hand prints a feature of the wall??

PCWBird I am so please for you, enjoy you little one and do come and chat if you feel like it

still no teeth, Ollie is going uhhhh today does anyone know what uhhhh in baby talk means?

johnworf · 20/08/2009 14:03

hedgepig urgggg means so many things

Back from college; 3 A's.

{grin]

johnworf · 20/08/2009 14:06

duchesse all the universities were notified over a week ago of the results.

As he's done so well he's also awarded £1,000 towards his course. That translates as student bar probably

I am very, very proud of him.

JJ sounds like you'd better come out now you got this party started.

hedgepig · 20/08/2009 14:06

well done DS2, he must get his intelligence from his mother

time.........where does it go? I think someone (around 10lb, dressed in pink, smiles to make your heart melt) keeps nicking mine as everytime I look round another week has disappeared! (OMG am I trapped in a sci-fi episode that's merged with groundhog day?

iris66 · 20/08/2009 14:47

hi and congratulations belgianbun - yes, it's a geriatric pg thing (i'm 42 with an almost7weeks old, 22mth old and 3 1/2yr old) it's much easier after the birth....sort of

johnworf · 20/08/2009 15:03

Welcome belgianbun. I have 4 children; 23/20/18/15 months.

I was no more tired on the last one than the other 3 I had in my 20's.

Age is just a number

iris naughty child you have there taking up all your time! Sounds like she's coming along nicely.

Tabitha8 · 20/08/2009 15:34

Welcome Belgianbun and many congratulations. I'm nearly 44 with my first child - a boy of 11 weeks. I find the more the weeks pass, the less sleep I need.

How are you today, Tigga?

Tee2072 · 20/08/2009 15:49

Welcome Belgianbun! At 40 with my first, a 10 week (as of today!!) old boy, it all depends on what kind of night we had! A night like last night, up every hour? I feel 110 today. A night like the night before where he slept 3 - 4 hours at a go? Had a productive day yesterday!!

Congrats to all the excellent test results!!

duchesse · 20/08/2009 16:33

Welcome Belgian! Am 41 and about to drop child number 4. The others are 16, 14 and 12. I honestly think how you feel depends on the pregnancy, barring any underlying health problems. This one has been at least as easy as the first three for me, against all the odds. I've been very lucky, I know. I think that not having toddlers to look after while being pregnant also helps a LOT!

duchesse · 20/08/2009 16:49

jw- fab results!

heron22 · 20/08/2009 18:53

hi belgianbun welcome

i am 43 and have a 5 yr old and a 7 month old!

how is everyone today?
i can now see the summer hols coming to an end! but before that, DH has to go away for 2 weeks for work! he leaves this monday and i am not looking forward to it

johnworf · 20/08/2009 20:43

Evening ladies.

Have we all been busy today hence lack of posts?

heron yes not long now and they're all back at school. Light at the end of the tunnel eh?

duchesse any movement on the starting labour front yet? Must be nearly there. You've been pregnant for about 2 years haven't you?

Up to not very much tonight. DH has gone out to a pub quiz. 2 LO's in bed and the older 3 are all busy with their social lives, whatever one of those is.

JJ have you scoffed all the jelly and ice cream yet? Did you burst out of your chocolate birthday cake in your special birthday suit and impress your OH?

I'm betting that JJ or mrsb will say they're up the duff before christmas. I'm allowed to and it'd be nice if it happens. There's got to be one of us that sprogs another soon. Law of averages dictates it. It won't be me though as that avenue is closed.

jeanjeannie · 20/08/2009 20:50

Evening....NO MORE CAKE!! NO, no, really, I can't stomach another slice.

Hi belgianbun! WELCOME and CONGRATS! Well, I've got 2 DDs under 3 and I'm 44 next month - eek! I didn't start until I was 41 - so got nothing to compare it to. I've got plenty of energy although i do tend to conk out about 10am; don't think I could handle going to Ibiza or anything! Mind you I've got a 15mnth old who has only just started sleeping through the night (last two months) so I'm making the most of it! Oh and my norks have survived over a year of BF - so that's pleasing Good to have you about - join in - help yourself to imaginary cake - or pop round in RL we've got shed loads of the stuff here atm!

jw OMG - that's amazing news! It sure a proud day over at jwtowers DP was thrilled with his Dave Gorman tickets.

hedgepig can't believe it - the paint all washed off the walls. Why didn't I think of that before!

duchesse keep bouncing....sex and curries - you know the drill

I'm done for - and feel sort of sick too. Cake anyone. We've got - chocolate fudge cake, M&S carrot cake muffins and Victoria sponge.

johnworf · 20/08/2009 21:04

Glad there was plenty of cake to go around. Just post mine

DH was saying he'd like to see Mr Gorman but he's on in M/cr next month so guess it'll be sold out by now. He's got Frankie Boyle to look forward to though............in 14 months time

Watched how clean is your house (vile, vile, vile, horrible, felt sick with the mess). Now watching prog re scroungers getting a job. That'll be the day.

mrsboogie · 20/08/2009 21:32

Oh if I'd known there was cake goin' spare I would have dropped in sooner

Phew! have only just bobbed me arse on a chair for the first time today - I have to say this all this business of making three meals a day for a baby and taking them out for entertainment is waaayyy more knackering than working in an office all day!!

Bought one of those annabel caramel(or whatever she's called) baby meals for D on way back from Leeds as I thought he would be too tired/hungry to wait for our meal to be ready. Fook me but he wasn't impressed . Would have been better off doing him a carrot and some lentils. Retched like it was poison he did.

Have discovered that you can share FB photos with people who aren't FB friends so been adding loads and emailing links to the parents.

jw congrats on the brainy son and his excellent results! well done you! (oh and him )

duchesse any movement?

jj glad your DP enjoyed his bday!!

oh and jw I dunno about the up the duffness, I really don't. I'd like to oblige but...hmmm...

belgianbun welcome -I haven't found it any more knackering than when younger to be honest. Have found I am much more patient though.

johnworf · 20/08/2009 21:47

mrsb I've given up on the prepared baby foods. She retches too. Even at the Ella's Kitchen ones which were the only ones she'd have. I stopped buying them a while ago. Organix crisps she'll accept. Bit of apple maybe.

I don't share with anyone else on FB unless on my friends. I'm on Flickr though so use them that way. Dunno why but don't trust FB that much privacy wise.
