This is my hospital! Derby City General - where I've had my babies and will be having another in November!

And the lady with the twins has girls in my dd's Infant school! And we've all cooed over her cute babies!

Yeah, I saw last nights, and Sue was my midwife all the way through my pregnancy with my daughter and I must agree with you she is lovely.....

It's normally repeated on a Thursday evening but normally slightly later around 10.30pm........ It looks like next week both episodes are on Thursday 9pm and 10.30 I think as looking my tv guide for next week it is not on monday...... If I am incorrect please can someone let me know as I will be disappointed if I miss it........ Thanks

Did anyone see last nights programme. I can't believe how calm that lady was at the beginning, the one where the midwife said she looked to posh to push. I could never stay looking like that through my labour..

I did feel for the family at QMC who's little girl did not breath at first.

Frizbe · 19/07/2005 09:33

She was calm due to the epidural! couldn't feel a thing, and look where it got her, forceps delivery ouch! once the drugs wear off!!

SCRUFF1 · 19/07/2005 13:10

I thought the lady who was 'to posh to push' looked fantastic, in fact I said to my husband 'that how I want to be!!!' Calm, quiet, and looking good! I realise the last thing on my mind will be how I look, but in the calm before the storm there is no harm in preparing..is there? In fact this very morning I decided my leg hair had taken a life of its own so grabbed the bull by the horns and had a full defuzzing session and am now as smooth as a babies bottom! I just hope baby arrives before it grows back as I cannot face trying to get into those sorts of positions again ! Sorry to those who probably think I'm shallow, but a girls gotta do what a girls gotta do!
Does anyone else 'force / encourage' their partners to watch desperate midwives? I've managed it 3 times so far!!! My husband is now in awe of what I have to do!!!!

I guess there is something to be said about making the most of your 'moment!'

Nish · 21/07/2005 10:46

My husband watches them with me occasionally, specially the first 5 as we were waiting the one we were on to be televised. I like to be in control when I am in labour too don't care what I look like.

SCRUFF1 · 22/07/2005 18:15

Which one were you then, I have been a dedicated follower so probably saw you?! Or have I got the wrong end of the stick?

Nish · 25/07/2005 20:03

I was on programme 5, I was the first mum of the programme to give birth, I had a little girl called Keira (I was the 2nd time mum).

If I am not mistaken it is the last one tonight isn't it?
