If I get to see my gp, can anyone tell me what might happen please. Currently 13 weeks with twins, and things haven't been going well.

Feel free to email me - look at www.dipcare.org - I'm Una on the about me/us page - hopefully some of the info will help xx

charlottesmum5 · 29/07/2009 22:35

whoops sorry about posting twice!!

dizzymare · 30/07/2009 09:34

Thanks charlottesmum, I'll have a look. One more day to go then maybe someone will listen to me.

Today is shit, ds isn't feeling well so he's been grumpy and difficult most, no make that all the day. So neither of us have got dressed today, all I've done is put clean pjs on him. He's not interested in eating so I haven't had to bother with that either.

Tomorrow I'm seeing my dr, I'd better be anyway, after last time. I don't want to come away again feeling even more shit about myself than I already do.

Is your mum going with you? I hope it is your doctor that you see and that they do listen to you and give you some help.

Fingers crossed you and your DS will feel better soon x

dizzymare · 30/07/2009 18:12

Yes, she's coming round for lunch first. It's right in the middle of when ds has his nap, so luckily a friends going to come and sit for me until I get back. The thought of an over tired, stroppy ds in a waiting room doesn't fill me with joy, plus I'm more likely to leave if he's playing up. This way, I haven't got him to worry about, so I'll have to be focused.

That sounds like a plan, Dizzy. I really hope that things go well for you tomorrow. How are you feeling about everything now? Have you been able to look at the scan pics yet?

dizzymare · 30/07/2009 19:21

All I want is not to made to feel like this is all in my head, because I bloody well know it's not. It's not 'normal' to feel like this, not normal for me anyway, and like I've already said I was shouting it from the rooftops with ds. This time I haven't even come up from the basement

Scan pics are still where I left them. I feel like a crap excuse for a mum tbh, and I wouldn't blame these babies if they hated me. I think someone said about it feeling like you've been taken over by hijackers, that's a pretty good summing up.

Good luck for today Dizzy - I really hope your Dr can help. I'm sure with your Mum there for support you'll get something done.

Let su know how you get on.

Deemented · 31/07/2009 09:23

Be thinking of you today Dizzy. I hope it goes as well as it can for you. I'm sure that having your mum there for support can only be a good thing.

Update us when you can x

lynneevans51 · 31/07/2009 10:10

Dizzy - we're all here and thinking of you. The website Charlottesmum posted is pretty good too - I'm wading my way through that.

Deemented · 31/07/2009 18:30

How did it go today, Dizzy?

FabBakerGirlIsBack · 31/07/2009 18:32

How was it at the doctors, dizzy?

Is DS better?

dizzymare · 31/07/2009 18:35

Fluoxetine 20mg to start with, and if I don't feel any better in a few weeks she'll increase the dose. She was very apologetic about the last dr I saw, he was a locum apparently. And I still need to go for the couselling, deep joy

Try and go with an open mind and don't hold back.

I have learnt to my cost you just have to bite the bullet and give it everything otherwise there is no point going.

dizzymare · 31/07/2009 18:46

Being very open isn't one of my strong points, it's taken a hell of a lot to even do this, but I'm willing to just give it a go.

And thank you for asking about ds, he seems much better today. Well he's been up to mischief which is a good sign anyway

FabBakerGirlIsBack · 31/07/2009 18:47

I have resisted for years to open up and i am completely screwed up because of it. try.

FabBakerGirlIsBack · 02/08/2009 08:53

Dizzymare, how are you feeling today?

dizzymare · 02/08/2009 10:07

Fat and disgusting

OP posts:
lynneevans51 · 02/08/2009 10:22

I bet you're beautiful really - and remember darling, you're not fat you're just pregnant.

Ha, I have to say this to myself several times a day - hope it brings a little smile to your face

FabBakerGirlIsBack · 02/08/2009 14:09

Dizzy

Can you do something to make yourself feel better? Paint your nails, style your hair, etc etc.

dizzymare · 02/08/2009 16:06

There's no point doing my nails, for one who sees or even notices, and for two it only ends up looking naff with all the handwashing I do after doing ds nappy. I'm hot, miserable and stroppy, infact I'm surprised ds hasn't left with a napsack over his shoulder! And to make matters even worse, I'm sure I felt something today

OP posts:
FabBakerGirlIsBack · 02/08/2009 16:21

What do you mean you felt something?

dizzymare · 02/08/2009 16:24

I was sat giving ds his lunch and I'm sure I felt a rippling/bubbling feeling down my stomach, near my bellybutton. And I'm not ready for this yet, it's not happened again thankfully.

OP posts:
FabBakerGirlIsBack · 02/08/2009 16:49

Do you mean a kick from Baby?
