Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
ermintrude13 · 13/06/2009 14:15

A few twinges, lots of Braxton Hicks, starting to throw up in the morning (what's that about?) but no elephant's sneezes in my knickers, or leakage of waters . Due date isn't until Weds by scan or next Sat by LMP so I can't start grumbling. Although I already have .

Not really feeling in the mood for bonking, but think I may have to allow DH to 'mount the hippo' (his phrase) shortly.

It's such a romantic time, innit?

johnworf · 13/06/2009 14:36

Ah yes, climbing the north face of the Eiger as my exDH used to call it Curry for you tonight ermintrude followed by....oooh lala! Think you'll have this cracked by Wednesday though

I'm off to garden centre to buy something to hide the grotty fence in the garden. Oh! The excitement!

Hope you're all having a good un.

Oh, here's a pic of the necklace I got ...I'm lovin' it.

mrsboogie · 13/06/2009 16:37

hmmm... you could try bouncing up and down on one of those gym balls ermintrude if you can get hold of one...

jw that is gorgeous - will make a fab toy also! I have an amber coloured large beaded thing that I never wore and D loves playing with it.

johnworf · 13/06/2009 17:55

mrsb too late! She's spotted it already......

mrsboogie · 13/06/2009 19:56

with permission from Mr Tee, for those who don't have facebook here is Adam

duchesse · 13/06/2009 20:02

Ooh, chunky and cute!

I have FB, I'm just not on Tee's friends list.

johnworf · 13/06/2009 20:14

Just saw latest message on tee's DH Facebook saying that Adam will be in for a few more days by the looks of things. The one before said that tee is out on Monday. I might be wrong but I'm guessing they're keeping him on SCBU until they're happy with him.

johnworf · 13/06/2009 21:07

OOh Michael MacIntyre is on soon. He's in Manchester I think. I saw a trailer of the show where he's talking about Hope hospital. I had my antenatals there and was supposed to have K there too. Very true about the 'hope' part though

Hope everything is going ok with tee. Don't want to bother asking her DH as he's probably busy enough and doesn't need me mithering him. Fingers crossed that they're both ok

hedgepig · 13/06/2009 22:03

evening, cripes I ache! I have been practising for this 60 mile cycle ride we are doing at the end of July and I am very sore. My optimism that I will be able to do it has waned rather a lot today, I need to get some serious practice in.

Ooo ermintrude things may be moving . Did you big walk up the hill work?

Duchesss is you want to FB link search for me Helly whitfield and I connect you to the others.

JW very nice necklace, O has alredy broken onle of my necklaces so I'm not wearing them at the moment.

johnworf · 13/06/2009 22:24

hedgepig sorry to hear that you're aching. I guess after you've had a baby then you've got to catch up to get your stamina back. I'm sure you'll do it

Thanks re necklace. K's already broken a couple of mine too. I put them on when I'm going out so she can't snap them (she says hopefully). They're like mobile toys hanging around your neck to the LO's.

ermintrude13 · 13/06/2009 22:27

Awww, Adam is a little poppet, sooo cuddly. Tee's got that proud mummy look, makes me quite teary. .

hedge nope, the hill walk put lots of pressure on my cervix but to no avail. It might be DH's luck night after all

JW that necklace is too tempting for girls of all ages; K will definitely have her eye on it.

mrsb I have a gymball - in fact it's borrowed from my sis, who gave birth leaning over it , and I have been doing some bouncing but maybe not energetically enough. The DC laugh at me enough as it is...

gosh, it's late (for me, lightweight that I am) night night

johnworf · 14/06/2009 05:46

Morning ladies. Early start here due to a full nappy - K's not mine.

DH is writhing in agony in bed with his sore bottom problem again so thought I might as well get up

ermintrude hope you managed to get in some vigorous bouncing last night - either on the gym ball or your DH, praps both

According to my facebook log, my sister, who gave birth in march is pregnant again Think I should check this out further as I think she's off her rocker if it's true. The baby is only 3 months old and she already has another 2 besides. Bloody hell. What an idiot. I hope she's joking.

Don't see any further updates re tee and baby Adam so guess that she'll be out tomorrow and baby will stay in until they say he can go. I wonder if she'll go home without him or get a room on SCBU? When my 2 boys were in SCBU and I was discharged I stayed in a room on the unit so I could BF/express but not all units have the space.

BonzoDoodah · 14/06/2009 08:52

Thanks for the link MrsB - what a gorgeous baby!

ermintrude if you find one of those cow slings let me know immediately!!

Bill Bailey was FAB last night! And M had her first sleep-over at grandparents in preparation for if she needs to go there during this new one's arrival. So ... a chance for a lie-in! Woo Hoo!!! So WHY was I wide awake at 6:45???? Grrrrrrrrr!

Eek at your sister jw - scarily close together.

duchesse · 14/06/2009 09:02

Although they may have space at the moment at Tee's SCBU if 6 of the babies in have the same parents...

johnworf · 14/06/2009 09:44

duchesse those 6 babies won't be coming out for a while judging by the weights of them when they were born.

I can only assume things from tee's DH's post about her and the baby. It sounds as though LO has a long line in his belly button to deliver fluids and IV meds. It saves putting cannulas in and reduces infection. He says he's not being fed yet so I'm guessing his blood sugar isn't yet stable. No idea what's happening with his breathing. I see a heart monitor on him but he doesn't seem to be on CPAP judging by the pics (apart from the first day) unless they take the pics when the mask is off.

tee's DH doesn't seem overly concerned so this all might be precautionary.

bonzo very at Bill Bailey. I would have loved to have gone to see him. DH is talking about going into M.cr to the Comedy Store for my b'day but I'm thinking it's too far and out too long to leave K (and I'd have to turn my phone off). I really used to love going there too Ah well another time. Glad that M had a successful sleepover. Practice run! Yes, what are you doing up at madness o'clock? Only us with LO's do that caper.

ermintrude please report in......give us your whereabouts. We need to know if this baby is gonna make an appearance today

ermintrude13 · 14/06/2009 10:58

If only, JW. Stayed up to watch Michael McIntyre (yup, 10.15 is staying up) so was too knackered for any form of bouncing - although did bounce gently whilst watching telly. Must have a go at the other tonight . Awful backache today and the LO is regularly having a good old (painful) stretch and kick at the outer limits, but no contractions or shows or anything.

Shame you don't feel able to go to Comedy Store. Would DD1 really not be able to cope if K woke? Of course there's no point going if you'd just be fretting all night.

Update from Mr Tee is that she's coming home Monday now and babe is likely to be in a bit longer but nothing to worry about. It must be about stabilising his bloods, as you suggest JW. Bet he can't wait to get them home.

Bonzo Am v of you seeing BB live.

BBQ party down the road this afternoon - am hoping to cause a scene by having to give birth in the paddling pool

mrsboogie · 14/06/2009 12:38

ello all

we have an exploding arse here again - had to put D straight into the bath as it was up to his shoulders

jw why don't you do a few practice runs with K and your DD1? it's a shame not to get out for a break when you have a babysitter that you produced earlier!

speaking of which - how old is your sister? yu must be a fertile lot and no mistake - better be careful

hoping to go out for a stroll in the country - must start amassing plastic bags and wipes and spare clothes and such...

hedgepig · 14/06/2009 13:34

wow MrD that is and amazing poo!!. We have exploding bottoms here to but with DS1 not O so he is sitting on the sofa watching DVDs looking very sorry for himself .

Good news about Tee getting out hopefully Adam will follow soon.

Ermintrude good idea to give birth at the neighbours cos then you don't have to clear up afterwards .

It's supposed to be sunny here today but it's a bit cloudy!

johnworf · 14/06/2009 13:50

ermintrude if you have yours in the paddling pool, please get someone to either video it or at least takes some pics!

mrsb what is it with exploding bums today? K's had two but nothing like the sounds of yours and at shoulder level Hers have been runny but no leakage as yet. Do you think D's is related to his teeth or is it the hot weather doing it again?

My sister is 29. Foolish without doubt.

I had a broody moment this morning but it passed. I started thinking along the lines of '........wouldn't it be nice to have another.........?' Then common sense made an appearance. Praise the lord.

Yeah I saw the updates on FB ermintrude. I was just saying y'day that I was wondering if tee would come home without him or stay on the unit to BF and be near to him? I would have thought it'd be easier to express and freeze the milk there. It was when K was in NICU/SCBU as they had all the double pumping equipment.

duchesse · 14/06/2009 14:15

Waaaaagh! I feel fat and heavy and inactive! Somebody remind me why I'm dong this?

hedgepig · 14/06/2009 14:22

because you were getting too much sleep and you fancied a change Duchess
Do you have a swimming pool near? I used to find it lovely to just float in the water taking the weight off my bones bliss.

DS1 is watching his CBeebies Christmas DVD over and over again I am going to put an hammer through the TV screen very soon. [crazy mommy emoction]

iris66 · 14/06/2009 15:07

hi all - just a quick one as I'm trapped in a vomityville horror! We had friends over yesterday who didn't leave until late (at which point my ankles had turned so elephantine that I thought my skin would split ) and then all hell broke loose with DS1 throwing up everywhere, DS2 waking up inconsolable. DS1 vomiting again, DH trapped in the loo with the bottom falling out of his world... (and repeat until morning )
Spent the day so far washing hideously stinky duvets/sheets/mattress protectors/toys etc, vaxing carpets and spraying antibac stuff everywhere!! Thank goodness it's sunny so everything's drying!

Lord knows what I'm going to give them all to eat as nobody's really had anything today. (fingers crossed that whatever bug it is will miss me though!!!)
Hope everyone else is having more fun than me - will try to catch up later....

hedgepig · 14/06/2009 15:48

Iris poor you (and you LOs and DH) I hope it eases soon, there seem to be a lot of stomach bugs going around at the moment. I would just keep food very plain like toast or something similar.

mrsboogie · 14/06/2009 16:29

Oh iris poor you - I really hope it does pass you by!

Mr D's exploding bottom is teeth related he is also whingy and does a very dramatic shudder of distaste as soon as any food comes near him. You can see at least six top teeth either out or near coming through.

Ceebeebies is being employed here for about the second time ever as the racket of that is greatly preferable to the alternative...

johnworf · 14/06/2009 19:02

Blimey, I turn my back for an afternoon and it all kicks off!

iris sounds awful the lurgy you have going on at your place It's bad enough when you're fit and able to get about but when you're 8 months + with puffy ankles the situation doesn't bode well.

FWIW I'd offer your DH/DC toast. Dry if they'll take it. Easy on the tum. Plenty of fluids of course. Hoping it's a very short lived bug

Bloody hell mrsb. D will have a full set of gnashers by the time he's 1 at this rate! At least they all seem to be coming through in one go which I suppose, is better than it dragging out with the crying/teething/out of sorts-ness.

My sister isn't pregnant.......thank goodness. Her OH posted it on her Facebook thinking it would be funny. It wasn't

All mine have gone home now and I've had my shower and am in bed as I type. Whacked out. Up at 5am and no energy left. Just used the last of it to bathe K. Def early night here methinks.

I think it's forecast rain tomorrow so at least we've all seen a bit of sunshine this weekend. Yay!

I've just looked on FB for a tee update but didn't see anything although I could have missed it with my aged, tired, eyes. Hopefully all is well with mum and bubs
